I plunked the deposit down with FIFA a couple of months ago to get access to the pre-sale packages. They're obviously pretty pricey. My goal is really just to see USA at least once, but that's only available if you get a minimum 4-game package (i.e. 2 game packages, the lowest rung, explicitly exclude the USA match).

Some questions:

Does anyone know in the past (or this time) if they are allowing re-sales?

What kind of demand do you think there will be? i.e. Is this likely to be a decent investment either way?

What % of the tickets do you think will eventually be sold to the general public - and in which format? (lottery, etc.)

Here's what they sent:

Series Offerings

Venue Series: all matches at a host stadium

Eight Match Series: 8 matches (4 group stage + any other 4 matches across the country)

Four Match Series: 4 matches ( 2 group stage + any other 2 group stage or round of 32 matches)

*Two Match Series: 2 group stage matches (weeknight only)

*USA matches NOT eligible

I don't see how the hospitality space is worth all that much, so looking at the lowest package, it's basically $1637.50 per match to guarantee your seat this far out. I assume all the ultimate gen pop sales will be sub-$200/match...but you have vastly lower odds of actually getting one.

Thoughts?

Thoughts? Them bitches are high. They say they want to promote the game but at those prices I just don't know. It's a total crap shoot try wait until a couple days before the game or secure your seats at those ungodly prices.

Imagine having a big family and they want to go see the USA or insert team X..

Presumably these are but a small fraction of the entire stadium. I just have no idea what list prices will be for "regular" seats.

I figure US matches will be hard so I’ll take anything in the southern states.

Will just purchase when they go on sale. I registered to let me know.

They do have the thing if you buy tickets to the club world cup this summer you get the right to buy world cup tickets.

Might be worth looking at that if you also want to go watch some of the clubs play this summer.

You have teams like Bayern, Atheltico Madrid, Chelsea, Dortmund, Boca Jrs, Inter Miami, Inter Milan, Juventus, City, PSG, Porto, and Madrid playing this summer.

Real and Bayern renting fields where my daughter practices at in Palm beach gardens. They’re putting up stands outsides the fence right now to watch the practices.
