It's pretty crazy that Japan have a black gk considering how homogenous of a country they are

Quite literally half Japanese.

I doubt that Tunisians were great for the North American economy while in the World Cup. Adios.

I would just like to revisit my take from last week

quote:

Sweden will have to defeat Japan. They can't rely on getting draws against both Japan and Netherlands. And a draw against Japan would be lethal to advancing if they lose to the Netherlands.

Japan draw and win vs Tunisia puts them at 5 points, Netherlands at 7 pts, and Sweden at 4 pts.

they are going to have to play the game of their lives to get any points against the Netherlands, who will be on a mission after today.

Sweden has to take the mentality of doing enough to move on with GD, because they are the 3rd best team in the group, despite what they did tonight.

And the response I received

quote:

You should run to the nearest sportsbook with your certainty… Their odds of being knocked out in group stage is now +1600 or 16:1 and +195 to win group.

They’re literally 8x more likely to win group than to get bounced. They are in a great position and couldn’t have gotten better results from the first group matches.

So Who_Dat_Tiger, are their chances to win the group still 8x more likely?

And like I said: they will have to beat Japan now to be certain of advance. A loss knocks them out. A 3rd place team with 2 losses and negative GD won't be in the top 8. 4 points gives some hope, but without a positive GD it would rely on less than 8 other 3rd place teams having at least 4 points or 4 points with negative GD.

Why am I the one quoted here when I agree with literally everything in the post lol.

Also I’m currently sitting on a temp ban on the footy discord for telling those Eurocentric weirdos to straddle a parking cone.

You're not quoted, just replied to your post since it was the last one in this thread.

These quotes are from the daily thread from last week that can't be bumped.

And I haven't seen him post since his take on the matter.

Nothing to do with you good sir.

Japan is going to beat them. I don't think there's much of a chance of a 3 pt team with a negative GD advancing.

They went from having a GD of +6 to 0 today.

That's got to be a gutcheck

My brain is too fried consider too much beyond the fact that that we took the group with a game in hand.

My steak too juicy, my lobster too buttery, my beer too cold.
