Turkey looks practically lost trying to break down Australia

I just don't think Turkey finds anything with an orthodox possession. It's gonna take a turnover or something. Once the Aussie defense gets set Turkey can't break it down.

I doubt Australia extends much more. Subbing the goal scorer feels like a defensive change to shore it up.

This Australia team looks tougher than I initially thought. Their forwards are crazy fast. Tim Ream and the US mistake prone defense is worriesome against that. Australia are also very disciplined at the back, good shape this match. Granted they have the lead and are content to sit back now.

The second they scored, they immediately had zero interest in this game's score being anything other than 1-0.
It's a solid bunker they got going on and it's got to be a little extra frazzling to a team whose two best players are 21 years old.

Turkeys dumbass coach lost them this game not starting yildiz. Could’ve got an early lead to open up things and the opposite happens and now they can’t get through the bus. Just brain dead coaching.

Let's see if Turkey uses this Hydration Break to draw up some adjustments.

I'm extremely interested in the Turkey v. Paraguay match now. Especially if Paraguay manages to score early like Australia did.

The U.S. will have to play through them. They eat up crosses into the box.

Thankfully we’re more direct than relying exclusively on crosses.
Get it to Flo or Puli and let them win a one on one. It’ll be a real problem if we surrender an early goal like Turkey did tonight though. They’ll bunker up.

They definitely have good discipline covering lanes at the back, and are content to latch on to a counter. With that speed up top you can't afford to press too high and get caught out.

Aussie subs look shaky. Potential chinks in the armor.
