Can't wait for all the complaining. Keepers will claim it causes vertigo or some other kind of shite.

I'm not a keeper, but I do prefer a regular old 32 panel ball. I find adidas balls especially unpredictable, even the cheap/regular ones. That said, all 22 players use the same ball so there should be no bitching.

Can't we just buy a new one or put a patch on it?

I just wonder why they've got to keep shitting with the ball. Should there not be a standard that has to be met?

This isn't a matter of a more tightly wound core or slightly raised stitches like in baseball.

It would be like a new baseball with the seams in an X pattern.

I would like to see a study on how much the different cut patterns change the physics of the ball.

Starting with 06, they've gone away from the geometric shape panels in favor of fusing panels together in hopes of making the perfect sphere. That's what they said in 2006, in 2010 and I'm sure they are going to say it again when this one is officially revealed.

My question is that have the changes been so drastic since 2006 that the ball plays so much differently?

This should be the official game ball for every important soccer match - Brine NCAA Championship Ball.

Brine is great. I like Select a little better, though. Can't go wrong with either. Adidas balls are too sticky when new (LOL), take too long to break in, are too padded and too light. Nike is alright.

I liked the style of the 2006 WC ball a lot. The golden one for the final was (/saying nice things about an adidas product)
