do we move Fabian up into the midfield to create some more offensive punch? or switch one of them to the other side to replace Beasley?

I hate to say it after he has played such a fantastic up but beasley's international career is done. (Minus a possibly farewell tour with donvovan at the Olympics)

I think it's possible, but I think most on this board prefer him to stay on the backline.
With Beasley near the end of his career, Fabs seems like a replacement there. Fabs left foot is solid tho so I think he could handle LB.

Is Chandler not an option on the left?

of course. two years is a long time til this question will really get answered.

Since we like to push our outside backs so far up the field anyway, I say we go 3-5-2 with Yedlin and Fab as the outside mids.

I don't want Yedlin "installed" at RB until he actually learns to play defense.

Honestly if we wanted to be more offensive against Belgium without compromising too much we should have dropped Zusi (who didn't play well anyway), put Cameron at RB, kept Beckerman and Jones at CDM, and moved Fab up to the wing in a 4-2-3-1.

You would think Beasley's career is over, but he doesn't gain any weight and until he loses his speed I would think he is at least a bench option for rhe next W.C.

You think he'll be on the bench at 36? No way.

Beasley is an ageless wonder, kinda like Tim Duncan. He keeps himself in world class shape for his age. Could he do it in 2018....absolutely. Will he want to do it....that's another question. Either way, I think he could be a part of the 2018 WC squad, but would be surprised if he started.

Is it just me or does Yedlin remind anyone else here of a certain Honey Badger?
Post pics to contrast/compare if you dare.

He is but his left foot is pretty awful. Fabs at least can provide decent service with his left.
Ideally like someone said, I would keep Fabs at RB and move Yedlin up to a RW/RM role until he can become more disciplined on defense. Kid has the pace and confidence going forward down pat already
