That's not when the bulk of CONCACAF Champions League games are played. That's just the important games that are played when our teams have already been eliminated.
The bulk of the games are August, September, and October. If anything, we have the advantage on the August games.

It's the opposite of a good point.
It's completely inaccurate.

Pretty sure we had 3 teams in the quarterfinals this year (SKC, LA, and SJ). None advanced because it was right at the start of our season. We still either drew or won the first leg of those matches.
Real Salt Lake made the finals the year before.

Yeah, your theory does work in part for last year, though not for 2009-10, 2010-11, or 2011-12. However, it's also because the MLS teams were the worst of the qualifiers in group play and were seeded 6 through 8 in the quarterfinals.

its not a top ten league but its decent
its still behind the 2nd division in countries like England, Germany and Spain.
There is no 2nd league that is better than MLS. MLS is a top 10 league in the world. Frick you.

MLS is hard to rank vis a vis other leagues because it operates on such a different dynamic.
Due to salary cap etc there's more depth of pretty good teams in MLS but it's much weaker in terms of great teams at the top compared the second tier European leagues.
Also there's a lot of good, solid players in MLS however you miss all the 17-22 year old future superstars you have in most European leagues and 2nd divisions in Germany, Spain, Italy. . .
It quite obviously is behind La Liga, EPL, Serie A, Budesliga, Ligue 1 by a large distance using any metric.
I think it's also a ways behind Primeira Liga (Portugal), Serie A (Brazil), Russia, Netherlands, Primera Argentina and Liga MX.
Then you get leagues like Ukraine, Turkey, Greece and 2nd divisions of the 4 biggest leagues.
This is where it really depends on whether the argument focuses on depth of decent teams (in which MLS has a good case) or which league has the few very best teams and/or most budding young stars in which the European second and often third tier leagues and Top 4 2nd divisions have the advantage.

I understand that some might not agree about BPL, but while the there may be better "top" clubs in other leagues, i think that top to bottom, BPL is stronger
i concur… from top to bottom, there is more player quality in the BPL than any other league in the world… La Liga is a very close second, and Bundesliga is right on their heels…
MLS is on par with probably the Australian League or K League (Korea)….

yea that shite is awful to watch the only comparison to the MLS is they both over pay for old superstars other than that its no debate

Yeah but their superstars are like Robbie Fowler after 4 rehab stints.
