do we still have a sub left?
Idk but the other sub we made hasn't paid off that is for sure. That chick has got burnt every time the camera has been near her.

How rare is the call on the goalie? I've only watched a few World Cup matches, so I don't know if that call is made on a routine basis or not. Seems to me it's kinda like touching 2nd base while turning a double play. Hardly ever called safe, or in this case, harldy ever called against the goalie.

Another novice soccer fan here to support the USA and women but those calls were BS right?

In basketball a ref who was arrested for gambling and fixing games has called out a bunch of refs still working and the NBA has ignored it. In the NBA, superstars get more calls than the average player. In the MLB, umps just make up their own strike zones and toss managers out just to get on sports center. If you touch Tom Brady or Peyton Manning in the NFL, it's a 15 yarder.

I haven't watched as much soccer as many on this board, but I don't think I've ever seen it call. Also it looked clean to me on first look anyway.

It's really rare, most goalies will jump toward the kicker to try to cut off the angle.

Women should not be allowed to be referees in soccer. Men or women's soccer. I feel they lack the common sense and good judgement required. I said it.

I don't watch soccer. Have never seen this chick martar. But she posses me off. Crying and yelling at the refs. Is that acceptable?

I've never seen it TBH, but I'm not an avid soccer follower.

similar to your double play situation, rarely called. however, in this case i feel like hope solo came like 4 inches off the line. that is NEVER called. it is almost always glaringly obvious that the keeper has jumped forward off of the line when it is called.
a series of pretty bad(imo)/questionable calls that the ref will not have to explain post match

I'm sorry that left forward they substituted is driving my nuts. She sucks really bad. May as well be 9 vs 11.

The fact that you called her a left forward lets me know all I need to know.
Posted on 7/10/11 at 12:11 pm to tylercsbn9
All I know is...the SEC is watching and I think the conference will have some new refs soon.
Posted on 7/10/11 at 12:11 pm to tgrgrd00
I respectfully disagree. I appreciate her aggressiveness in our attack.

that was a much more obvious foul than what was called a red earlier. God these refs suck.
