Big win for the US. It was very fairly officiated, and I give the ref a ton of credit. Actually a couple of the offside calls in the first half were very close, and I am impressed the ref didn't fall for Giovinco's easy fall downs.

Bradley was man of the match. Just outstanding today. I thought Spector was fantastic as well in the 25 minutes he played. Jozy did great at holding the ball in the second half, and Dempsey was quiet for much of the night, but he scored a great goal and almost knocked in a set piece against Buffon.

I am actually horrified by the new kits. They are a freaking disgrace.

I like the simplicity of Italy's, but their numbers are terrible!

How was Italy's squad compared to what they will field in Euros/World Cup?

I am not really up to date on who their first team players are an longer.

Same here. I thought they were gorgeous until I saw that shite. Change the numbers to white, not some cheesy arse font, and I'll buy one immediately.

I thought we played well in the 2nd half but defensively the first half was horrendous. We have got to get our shite together with that step up on the back line or we're going to get burned. We could have easily lost by 3 if their forwards were paying half attention to what was going on around them. It's really just an awareness issue so it's very fixable.

On a positive note, obviously Mike was great. I thought Maurice played well defensively too. Jozy's hold up play was exceptional, and Spector was all over the place. Apparently all of that practice at jumping in front of shots at Birmingham City has paid off.

Tim Howard alone makes this team 10 times better than it would be otherwise. I can't state enough how important he is. I don't know what the hell is going to happen when he retires.

Overall a good win against a great defensive team. I love the courage we played with at the end. It's hard not to wither under that kind of pressure.

Just finished watching the game. I am really happy with the result of course. This is definitely the best result under JK.

Most importantly, Bradley was terrific. There is now absolutely no excuse for JK to not include him when he is available because he saw how good he can be. Bradley is one of the four players that must be on the pitch at all times in important games.

Spector had a terrific match in limited minutes. Fun as shite to watch him today. Edu also had a nice match for himself. Good to see Dempsey finding the back of the net so much.

Altidore was kind of pissing me off until he settled the ball for Deuce, but hell, he basically set up the goal.

Brasil is fricked.

A few first time and non-regular players (Ogbonna, Matri, Giovinco, Borini) but the second half saw most of Italy's regulars play aside from the attack where Cassano, Rossi and Balotelli are missing.

Their manager said on Sky Ballo wouldn't be called for the Euros because he's too unstable and can't control his emotions.

I LOVED the jerseys. Needed to go Navy/White/Navy though.

But then again, I'm a Gunner so I'm biased towards sleeves

I'd love to see what we can do with an attacking midfielder on the right side.

The problem is that he can do something really stupid at anytime. He is great fun to watch as a player and character, but can you imagine if Italy needed three points in the final group stage match and Swagg was sent off for a straight red in the 15th minute? I would have him on the squad, but he would be a 70th minute sub if needed.
