I still think he should've been on the squad over Roldan, who was literally there only for vibes, but yeah, at the time of the roster selection, Pepi's last goal for club or country came in 2021.

I definitely wouldn't have started him over Sargent or even Wright in Qatar though.

This is where a selfish player would come in handy. It's like they're scared to just take the ball and shoot. Everyone wants to pass 2 feet from the goal.

The biggest issue with the Gregg era.

Everything is slow to develop because everyone is looking for the perfect pass and waiting for the perfect shot. Leads to a lot of possession, but really a lot of toothless possession.
