Apparently another huge problem with this stadium has been the sun because of how they oriented the stadium and not having a canopy. At the 49ers' first game in this stadium, fans were collapsing and one died.

Except that the attendance for every US game would have exceeded capacity for every soccer-specific stadium in the US. The largest SSS is StubHub Center in LA at 27,000. Of course, they definitely should have been smart enough to pick stadiums without a history of problems with the surface.
