A lot of dribbling that didn't amount to that much.

Like I said, I hope we see more of him next month, but he's not exactly someone I'm clamoring for at the moment. That can change.

Scuffed agrees too.

Meh, that doesn't mean much. Despite his monotone, Adam Belz is one of the more emotionally unstable and cringy soccer podcasters. After a loss he wants to fire everyone and drop everyone, and then after a win he's so fricking smug saying how he knew it all along that whatever move was made to win was the correct move. While the other guy literally spits in my ear his lisp is so bad.

Maybe they've gotten better, but I haven't listened to them in a minute. Total Soccer Show and now the Landon Donovan/Chris Wittingham/Grant Wahl podcasts are infinitely better.

But frick Grant Wahl still.

I find TSS can be overly positive and scuffed can be overly negative. I listen to both and generally form an opinion somewhere in the middle. Donovan has a podcast now?

Yeah, it's with Wahl (gross) and Wittingham who is the Inter Miami announcer and a producer on Dan Lebatard's show. He's really good.

They only do episodes after each qualifier. It's not as in-depth as TSS and Scuffed, but it's just three dudes giving immediate reactions from the match in a kind of shooting-the-shite format, and one of them just happens to be the greatest USMNTer ever.

Also the guy with the lisp who is sometimes on scuffed is watke, who does the hilarious highlight videos

I’ve never noticed a lisp tbh, at least not enough to be bothered by it.

Steffen should of stopped the goal. Change my mind.

This mornings "The Football Show" on SIRUS FC Neil Barnett commented on the Jamaica's goal against the USA. He stated in part that Steffen should of stopped it. It was not like it was in the top corner that it was over his head. He said that top keepers should make this stop. He stated that this is the type of goal that caused Keppa to be benched at Chelsea and and for them to bring in Mendy. He further stated that he believed Matt Turner would of made the stop.

It's a lot of tongue in cheek especially the smugness.

Steffen's feet certainly weren't set in the correct rhythm for him to explode to make that save. This has been pointed out before as being one of his weaknesses and it showed again here. Conversely this is something that Turner excels at so who knows he may have stopped it.

Antonio has literally never scored a goal from outside the penalty box in his EPL career. No reason to think he uncorks one from 35 yards out that is a fricking rocket. The Allocation Disorder journalists (TSS show) who were in the stadium say that Steffen had no chance to stop that strike. And there is zero reason for me to believe Turner would have gotten to that blast either.

I'm not going to pretend to know goalie technique or anything, but that shot seemed nearly unstoppable. That would have been a save of the year nominee if he got a glove on it. Steffen not saving that is way down on the list of things we should be talking about from that game, and IMO does nothing in the race for #1 against Turner.

I like Sam and Paul but there were no replays for them. We got multiple angles and it seems like with a better jump Steffen could have gotten a hand on it. Too bad we will never know. Steffen was definitely not set.

Columbus (1/27 El Salvador) and St. Paul (2/2 Honduras) are the sites in the next window.

I know a lot of fans in cities like DC are pissed about this, but I’m all for this. Give us cities where the fans are predominantly American, and not the weather other teams are used to.

Plus we'll be more than likely playing Canada in Edmonton in that window so, we'll be a little bit more acclimated playing in Columbus a few days before.

ETA: We're playing Canada in Hamilton. Interesting choice since that's like right on the border.
