So I only watched the 2nd half. How did Jones look in the 1st?

Not sure I like this experiment

If JJ is our CB in 2018 we are not going to be very good. But really, who thinks we will be anyway. The thrill is gone.

JJ was the MOTM imo.

I liked how he looked at CB. Got a little shakier when Ream came on.

And please soccer jesus, no more joe corona.

First of all, there is still plenty of hope in this team. Four years is a long time. Second of all JJ made all of us proud last World Cup. I'd love to give him another shot.

I guess it just seems like we'd be better served spending our time developing young guys like Brooks and Gonzalez

I just don't see the point in experimenting with Jones at CB. I don't see him making the 2018 squad.

It's still 2014.

Let's not panic until at least the 3rd round of qualifying.

The second half looked like every other friendly after we sub six guys in. Except this time the six guys weren't the highest quality guys.

I didn't mind JJ at center back. Now I don't know why we are starting this now since God help us if he is a legitimate need in four years.

Once the game got chippy towards the end it seemed like our guys just hung it up.

I'd say besler and brooks is our best cb pairing at the moment. It may not be them come the start of qualifying but I don't see jermaine jones as a mainstay at cb.

Just got home from the game and I'm sure this has all been covered but whatever.

We can't score if we don't shoot.
Zusi's touch was terrible most of the game.
#9 on honduras should have been sent off
My earlier concern about Jermaine and yellow cards held true
But in the end

Its not just about Russia. Theres also a very important GC and the Centario to prepare for. If JJ can prove to make an impact at CB, provide some depth beyond an aging CDM, its worth the look.

Just got home. Disappointed by turnout for sure. It was absolute hell getting to stadium though. I walked in a minute before they kicked off and I had got off the exit only a mile or so from the stadium an hour earlier. The Hondurans were definitely blending in well. There were way more of them than I realized prior to them scoring a goal. The outlaw section seemed weak and like they were forcing the believe chant at any given opportunity.

One thing I think we need to take away from these first three post-World Cup friendlies is the emergence of Greg Garza.

Dude wasn't even getting a sniff before last month and is now performing really well.

He's been playing pretty well in Mexico. Glad Jurgen gave him a shot.
