I think our team needs more neck tattoos.

Williams has scored a couple of long range shots for us.

Very interested to see if he did enough to get a call-up next month. He looked good in limited action, but with Mexico and Costa Rica, I'm interested to see if Jurgen goes mainly veteran/established-players with the roster.
Also, Kljestan better start in C'bus.

You don't watch soccer much, do you?
I watch quite a lot of football. Bradley would not start for an EFL Division 1 team. If you talk to anyone who actually knows football, he is not taken seriously. He was the anchor for a team that struggled against New Zealand, but I don't know "soccer." Ok, enjoy your delusion, and don't be shocked if he starts against Mexico and we lose.

Is he really an Arsenal fan? He's making us look bad.
He's like one of those people who watched 30 minutes of Bradley playing out of position as a 10 in the World Cup and decided he was the worst player on the field and shouldn't sniff the 23.

Well that's a stretch. He's a specific type of player that would do well in a system that requires a hard-working midfielder. In the old days he would be a fairly good midfielder in a 4-4-2. Now, I don't know. He was very good in an anchor role for Chievo Verona, but was a spot starter for a decent Roma team. There I think he lacked the consistent technique to flourish where as I always thought he would do really well in a league that emphasized athleticism. He's a rare player. Good enough on the ball, great athleticism, excellent drive, and great size. It's rare you find midfielders as tall and strong as him. I think he's probably one of the best American midfielders ever.
Also EFL Division 1? What is this, 1991?

i know it seems crazy but i really don't give a shite about english football
my biggest issue is this perpetual aura of surperiorty that some American soccer supporters cast on anyone who even mentions the sport in passing. as if a casual fan needed any reason to check out, they present a very tangible one. and then turn around and bitch about how uncultured the soccer fanbase is

Is this game even worth watching on my DVR? I saw the score and that Yedlin was playing up top and Orozco at RB.

Care to give us some players that should start over Bradley?

I told a buddy last night that it was not really worth watching. It was fairly boring overall, at least from an American perspective. If I was kiwi I think I would be impressed with some of their young talent.
From the US perspective, I am not really sure what our goal was in roster and sub selection. Getting Kitchen and Acosta in the mix was important I guess. Giving Green 75 mins or so was worthwhile. Playing a frustrated Jozy for 85 mins with a newly healthy Boyd on the bench felt odd to me. Why not get him in the game earlier? Agudelo got a run out but barely touched the ball.
Other than getting Sacha and Bradley more time together both of these games felt like a waste. Dunno, maybe I am missing the big picture.
