Because 26 is ancient in terms of the USMNT roster these days. 
Acosta is a solid backup quality player. He’s an important rotation player and let’s hope he just keeps getting better as he enters prime.

Greggg is a MLS Bro Club sandlot coach. He can't asses talent, and simply goes with the hot hand fallacy, and doesn't have the X's and O's mind.
Just read about his inept work in Sweden. They saw it loud and clear, and quickly got rid of him. Here, we've got fans who are still stuck in the "good is good enough" stage, and can't see the forest through the trees.

Only thing Gregg does above average is he finds a way to get dual nationals to sign for the USMNT. This has actually been a pretty big deal.

Actually, the issue is that Gregg is throwing too many tactics at a team that isn't together all that often, it's why we always look confused.
