Was listening to the fighting cock podcast and they brought up an interesting point. This is the first time in recent years we haven’t had a shitty end to our season:
15/16 - fall short in title challenge and end up below arse for the 20-something straight season
16/17 - fall short to Conte’s Chelsea with a point total that would have won the league 3 of the previous 6 seasons
17/18 - lose FA cup semi to United
18/19 - CL final loss
19/20 - Poch fired / jose hired we limp into 6th
20/21 - Jose fired / lose cup final & Kane wants to gtfo
21/22 - beat rival to champions league position, Conte commits, owner injects cash, Perisic signed a week after season ends, etc.
Feels fricking good

Will miss Bergy, his debut goal against Man City and the brace that stole 3 points at Leicester was crucial for us.

Am I the only one that has to hold my nose at the idea of watching Richarlison every week? It’ll be interesting to see how he handles being a rotation player.

I’m right there with you. Not a fan of his or this signing. Can’t see him being a team player with the chemistry we already have.

Yep I’m with you upon initial reaction, but he might just be one of those players that everyone hates unless he plays for your team. 
I just hope it’s a Conte signing, and not something pushed on him by the board. If Conte wants him that’s good enough for me. Plus, it’s been so long since we’ve had a proper backup to Harry Kane, that will allow him to rest, I’m a bit more forgiving. He’s surely an upgrade over Llorente, Vinicius, Son out of position and no-one.

Richarlison is one of my least favorite players in the league but you can’t deny his ability and he fits perfectly into what we need. I can’t imagine we spent £50MM on a player and it’s not someone Conte wanted so I’m not worried about that aspect of the transfer.

And now this from Romano. A lot of people giving us shite because of Lenglet's recent form at Barca, but similar things were said about Kulu and Bentancur last season. Hhe's one of the best CBs in Europe on the ball. If Conte and Paratici want him, let's go.
