150 mil in new capital injections today. Get in lads…

Came to post this. That's 175mm Euro on top of whatever we were already planning to spend (and receive for the deadweight). What are the biggest needs? Wingback or two? Midfielder? Backup striker? Another CB for depth?

Getting Skipp, Reguilon, and Doherty back will be nice.

Two wingbacks for sure. A backup stricken would be nice.

Emerson deserves props for stepping up when Doherty went down, but we need to be ruthless and improve at RB. It's not a knock on Emerson becauase he waas brought in to play in a back 4. The times that we struggled are when teams just overloaded the middle and allowed Emerson as much space as he wanted on the right. At this point he doesnt have the final ball or ability to take someone on 1v1 and Conte's system requires that from a wingback.

I'm actually comfortable with our wingbacks provided Reguillon is fully healthy. Sess/Davies/Doherty are great for depth/injuries.

We def need a LCB, a back-up striker, and back-up wing which should be easy to find considering we're CL next season

We need to have the depth to compete in 3 simultaneous competitions late into the season

Yeah I’d like to see a couple wingbacks, creative mid, center back and a forward to play alongside Kane, or for backup to keep Kane fresh.

Hard to say, I don't disagree with you, but Emerson is young and started playing his best at the end of the season. I felt that he was the best player for Spurs against Liverpool.

I agree with you that he stepped up and showed improvement towards the end of the season. I’ll trust Conte if he thinks he can get him where he needs to be. Emerson has been really good defensively, but he looks really awkward on the ball at times. If Conte thinks he can improve I’m all for keeping him.

He needs to improve his crossing ability... There were so many chances on counters and he couldn't cross it into the box

Agree on this, he has to improve a lot when going forward because Conte asks a lot of his wingbacks. I still think we bring in two wingbacks that fit better into his system than what we have now.

Agreed.

Here's another topic for potential 'controversial' discussion: I was unimpressed with Sessegnon's positioning and ball skill in the attacking 3rd. He just looked too inexperienced at times.

Bastoni should without a doubt be the number one target this summer. His experience working with Conte just makes it a perfect fit. Davinson backing up Cuti and Davies backing up Bastoni give us solid depth to navigate all the competitions next year. Cuti has the ability to play centrally as well so he could give Dier a break. I also wouldn't mind them looking to bring in a backup for Dier, but Bastoni has to be first.

Another striker is such a diffcult position for us to recruit. We have been linked with a lot of the big name guys(Nunez, Oshimen, Schick-just signed new deal) but I just don't know how we are going to attract someone knowing that they are going to sit behind Kane most of the time and I don't think it smart to use a big chunk of the budget on that position unless they can play on the wing as well. One option I think is worth expoloring is Danjuma at Villarreal. We could work out a swap deal for Lo Celso to reduce the fee. Danjuma would aslo be able to start on the wing which would get him more playing time throught the year. If we are deadset on going after a traditional #9 I think we need to lower expectations and try to find a specialist. Wout Weghorst is a guy that I think could provide some cover for Kane and can also be used late in games as an aerial threat. Moussa Dembele is also an interesting option.

Who do y'all think we should target as a Kane backup?

Conte staying!

Not much of a surprise given everything that’s happened but nice to see it reported. Now onto the difficult task of filling in the holes.

Edited to add, let’s get Kane signed so we don’t have to listen to every pundit talk about City buying Kane.

Lots of noise around Perisic being close. I hope we get that one over the line. Would love Sessegnon to be able to learn from him. He also can play up front on the wing if needed.

With Haaland already signed up I think the real threat will come from ManU in a year or two.

Emmanuel Dennis from Watford

24 year old Nigerian who scored 10 goals in his 1st EPL season. Watford could use the cash and he would probably like to stay in the EPL
