There were rumblings that this would be an odd starting XI.

I don’t think anything Conte throws is going to work, we just can’t play with Chelsea at this point.

I agree, but I think Tuchel's in-game changes have beaten Conte's in ever match so far.
Spurs need to just get to the International Break and get the full squad back afterwards.

We don’t have the squad when healthy to match up with Chelsea much less without Son and Romero. If we bring some guys in and Conte sticks around long enough I have no doubt we can catch up. As of now it’s just not close. They had Havertz, Werner, Pulisic, Kante on the bench today while we are starting Doherty and Sessegnon as wingers in front of Davies and Tanganga lol.
I still can’t believe that Lo Celso and Ndombele flopped like this. When we signed them in the same window I thought we had secured an elite midfield for the next 5-10 years. We don’t have the transfer budget to swing and miss like that.
Hopefully we’ll get Son and Romero back after the break. I think it’s pretty clear that Tanganga isn’t ready to start on a regular basis. He has no discipline to his game right now. It’s just all gas no brakes.

Yup. We don’t have the talent to compete top 3 yet but I think things might change here in the next week.
Looks like Dele, Ndombele, Lo Celso might be out for good with Tanganga and Brian going away on loan along with Rodon.
Traore coming in and then not sure but no way we are moving all those midfield creative types without at least 1 and probably 2 midfielders coming in.
