3rd straight PL game without a goal... We sure our decimated back line is our issue atm?

Not having Jota has really hurt us... a genuine fourth option up top..

Cannot wait to get Jota back. Makes us more direct which I think would’ve helped in this match. We kept getting into good positions then it was like no one knew what to do.

Today's result wasn't great... but it wasn't terrible either...

0-0 is what I’ve come to expect when we play United.

We don’t play as high up the pitch without virgil. I know on the surface that “goals” are the problem, but we can’t play the way Klopp wants to play with our options at CB right now, and that’s hurting the chance creation.

Exactly. Normally both Andy and Trent are far up the pitch which stretches the opposing back line.

Now whichever one goes forward, the other has to stay back, and typically a midfield player does as well.

Losing two players from your normal options in attack can destroy chemistry in the attack and make you predictable, which is what has happened.

Burnley is probably the last team we need to be facing right now to get out of our goal slump

This would be a good time to have another match turn out like the Leeds match earlier this season.

I’d be fine with a crystal palace repeat

All of us would.

I just think if we can have a back and forth match we can maybe have a spark lit.

I don’t know what the answer is but Klopp doesn’t have it.

Yeahhh, somethings gone awry and he's not finding the answer right now... Eventually you'd peg them to break out of this funk, but I have no idea when that might happen

Probably break out of it when we play a team that doesn’t defend with 9 men in the box. Also maybe when we stop sending in 25+ crosses to no one.

Color me a theorist, but I think all the Salah to (insert Barca/RM here) rumors and interviews are affecting chemistry. Manè and Salah have been unwillingly working together for a while now in my eyes. They barely celebrate together.

With that said, who are our most creative midfielders and why are they not named Jota?

The creativity has been missing for years. We looked creative lobbing crosses into the masses because with our starting eleven we have a height presence or two. When they are out, our attack suffers greatly because we have no midfield creators really.

Thiago is excellent and providing some of that, but it is clear our front three aren’t used to his quality in the middle of the park. Nor are the other mids.

It’s frustrating to see. At this point I think I am in my own little camp of preferring Salah leave for big money and using that money to pull Mbappe finally, after all the flying rumors.

We need creativity in that we need someone capable of running at defenders. One of our best chances was when Gini made the run from deep, Origi was also playing direct and put three good shots on target (and one woeful miss). Firmino was stagnant when he was on. Salah gets the ball wide and just stands there then plays a back pass to Trent or whoever is standing at the top of the box. Same as last week, we are missing Jota and Keita to a degree. For all the worry over our back line, the defense has been far from the issue.

Wasted our MVP on a meaningless game vs a danish team.

I think the quick passing of the midfield has slowed down a gear. Were much slower than we were a year ago.
Nothing stays the same Teams and companies are expanding or contracting...never stagnant
