We still wanna sell Origi if he's cool with a spot on the bench?

I've been cool with him as a squad player.. though much more as a
CF than a LW...

that was pville that wanted him out..

Oh I know, it was just a question for the room I guess... he's a perfect bench player imo

yeah - he's shown a lot of improvement in the past two seasons... summer before last, I'd have sold him without thinking...

Origi has probably been the most biggest surprise over the last year or so. if he is cool with being a squad player, by all means please stay. I dont think there is any player out there we could sign who could do better at his current role than him. Glad Shaq got on today and got himself a goal. Not really sure why he has not played much but, like origi, if he is cool with his current roll i assume keep him on board.

Mane should have iced this game twice with goal 5 of the day. Glad to see some fire in this team and taking it to the blue shite.

anybody else think this lineup was a little experimental knowing we have a FA Cup draw vs everton? It seemed like a good chance for some guys to prove the team can still win games without having to rely on the first team.

As this game comes to an end, all i gotta say is, hell yea and frick everton. Big (pending) win today!

just finished watching.... what a damn derby! that was exciting as hell, only mane shoulda had a hat trick. divock played out of his mind, shaq was excellent and lallana held his own. not sure what was going on with TAA, seemed off tonight, but he had one great ball that ended in a goal.

I was provided a deserved time-out after the AU/LSU game, baws, but now I'm back.

Origi, Shaq, and Mane were great yesterday. No way we should offload Origi if he is content as a 75th minute kind of player. He looks so much better and more confident on the ball and his touch is actually quite good - second goal was awesome. Really hope the injury bug quits biting Shaq bc I really want to see more of him. He at least brings some creativity to the midfield, thought he had a strong game considering it was his first one back in quite some time.

Sending a pretty strong squad to Qatar for the Club World Cup:

quote:

Liverpool FIFA Club World Cup squad: Alisson, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Gomez, Adrian, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana, Lonergan, Shaqiri, Brewster, Robertson, Origi, Jones, Alexander-Arnold, Elliott, Williams.

So would that give us a 2019 treble?

Aston Villa vs Liverpool U-15’s for the FA Cup. Y’all think Klopp wants out of that tournament?

I *think* those are usually tallied within a season and not a calendar year...

I was watching Origi yesterday and he looked like the same fast-Origi I remember from a few years ago during his first and second seasons with the club.

He seemed to me to have gained weight after his injury and during his loan period and was just big and slow.

He's still pretty big but I swear he's lost weight recently and the dude was running pretty darned good yesterday.

I think yesterday played to his strengths as a CF... really direct, counter attacking football..

all of our squad shine on the counter, we've never been great at keeping possession and setting up an offense high up the pitch like city. we should relinquish possession more, let the other team make a mistake and blast them away on the counter. we're the greatest counter attacking team in the world and it's not even close, makes no sense to try to be barca or city.

well yeah, but I think our other attacking players are a little more creative 1v1 and can beat a man and make things happen on their own...

Not many lower teams are going to play a high line with a back 3... that was a ridiculous set up by Silva to start the match...

most sit with two deep banks of four... they don't want possession...
