Weak arse effort by Migs.

He sucks.

Should have just kept Karius.

The one who was very offsides didn't impact the play, the other one was the guy who headed the ball (drawing a blank on who it was), he was very close, I thought he was off, but I guess VAR didn't

Barkley? I kept hearing them say he got the first ball...

two dudes looked clearly off, but I couldn't tell if it was Barkley (sounds like it may have been)..

Yeah that sounds right, but the other one clearly off wasn't him... He was close, but I'd have called him off... But it's whatever, at least VAR looked at it, can't really complain too much about it

I mean he's obviously super talented... But who do you sit right now of Gini, Milner, and Henderson based on our play this season?

Probably Henderson, but it doesn't matter to me. Keita has to be on the field as the most advanced of the 3 CMs in our top choice squad until we bring in a true attacking mid.

I think we're a much better team with Keita on the field. Henderson, Milner, and Wij can't come lose to providing what Keita does in the attack.

I agree with them not providing the attack he does, but it's hard to argue results... It's not like we're a mid table side struggling to find form, we look in control most days when our current top XI is out there... Again Keita will be a significant factor on this team, but I think he still needs a little more time to adjust, just my .02

You also have to look at the competition we've played so far.

To date in the EPL table, we've faced #5, 9, 11, 13, 14, and 17. Outside of Tottenham, we haven't faced much of a test.

Those are games we should be able to win even without playing with an attacking mid.

I hope we start rotating the entire back 5 we played tonight, out...

in this order:

Lovren - can't leave soon enough
Migs - see above

Moreno - love him, but we should move on...

Clyne - I think he's decent enough as a back up, but think we can prob get decent value for him and reinvest

Matip - probably the one I'd keep if I was going to keep one.. can play on both sides and is good on the ball..

We also beat PSG without him...

I agree he is prob our most creatve midfielder and one of the best 3... I dont know if he is a "must start" on the weekend though..

Agreed, also can we reemphasize our good run of signings?

Jury obviously still out on Fabinho and Keita

But Shaquiri I think can be added to the list of good signings, I really enjoy watching him play

I think both Keita and Fabhino are being brought along slowly. At this time last year Ox would have been considered the same. I think Keita has to start taking over the attacking mid role. We are going to need him on the field with our front 3.

Fabinho looked so rusty out there.

Dissappointed in the loss, but as mentioned it’s just the cup. I do tend to agree that if Robertson and VVD are out there, Hazard doesn’t score that goal. Moreno’s positioning was awful.
