Come on dude. I can think of a lot of adjectives to describe Klopp, his coaching and his tendencies, but scared or pathetic isn't among them.
Dude, Commander Spock yearns for the Brendan Rodgers and Roy Hodgson Eras, because thats his kind of football. Roy would have BUILT A BELOVED WALL, bro!
That was a beautiful match today and a pleasure to watch save for the result. The Hindsight Army always has 20-20 vision and ALWAYS points out their genius afterward, but Liverpool were playing the most talented squad in the world and played them toe-to-toe for 90+.
Seriously, it took 2 incredible world-class goals at severe angles to put Liverpool down. Credit to MC for getting that done.
I’m 100% disappointed in the result but not in the effort or the squad.

I get that this MF has had success last year, although Ox was a HUGE part of most of that. But to think that you do not run out Fabinho over Hendo or Milner is a poor to baffling decision to say the least. And to rub salt in that wound the exact player came.on and reminded everyone how ridiculous that choice was in the first place. I love Klopp but in big matches you cannot screw a decision like that up. We are 4 clear with an even GD, I'll take that all day and hope that Gomez gets healthy soon. I'd also love to see Keita get his shot in the middle of the pitch and not on the wing.

We need Gomez or Matip back ASAP... But yeah having some time to reflect on it, this loss is not the end of the world (though I wouldn't know it based on some of the posts here)... I'd argue it could be a positive long term seeing as with a result the "oh do we have another invincibles" talk would have started in earnest.
We have a manageable schedule imo, but we need to be league title or bust this year, may not be a popular decision with some, but to hell with the FA Cup, and to some extent with the CL.
100% focus on the league table

I was not surprised by this midfield choice at all.. in the 433, this is clearly his "trusted" 3... right or wrong... Hopefully, yesterday has shown Klopp that this is not the way forward any longer..

Nathaniel Clyne to Bournemouth on loan..
edit: This is just stupid if we don't replace him (or maybe Klopp just trusts some kid.. However??)... we already have a weakened backline... I dont care if Clyne wanted more playing time... At least play him vs Wolves first if you're letting him go...

Apparently our depth is:
Milner
Fabinho
But Klopp also really likes Ki-Jana Hoever...
So I think we'll be fine assuming TAA stays healthy.
It's a puzzling move, but if Clyne wants playing time then I don't see a huge issue with letting him get some in the PL

Solanke to Bournemouth on a permanent deal for £19M (plus add ons)... I'm okay with that, good money and he's promising but needs PT

Clyne could bite us in the arse gents but I trust Klopp on this. And I wasn’t surprised either TC but any “trusted 3” cannot at this point have Hendo or Milner over Fabinho. That ship has sailed.

When healthy, Gomez is above both of the above on the RB depth chart.
Especially considering how well Matip was playing before he got hurt.

Hate to see Clyne go. I like him but I guess Klopp just doesn’t value him and particularly the fact that he doesn’t offer enough going forward.
But yea I don’t get letting him leave now with our injuries and considering our backup options
And wow on Solanke. I’m not his biggest fan, but how can you turn that deal down? Based on what we got for him and Ibe, thank you for the free money Bournemouth
I know it’s different markets but after selling Kevin Stewart to Hull and Ibe, Brad Smith, and now Solanke to Bournemouth we bought Robertson and Salah
Damn good business I’d say

Just gonna throw this out there for comment:
Bournemouth have remaining matches this season at Dean Court with Man City, Tottenham, and Chelsea.
Is Kloppo playing a little 3-D chess here?

Jurgen Klopp is considering naming 16-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever in his squad for Monday’s FA Cup tie at Wolves.
Camacho could be another but there was those rumors he could head back to Portugal, but that wouldn’t be terrible considering the price thrown around for a kid that hasn’t played much senior football at all

Expected goals from City game
I know it doesn’t mean anything because it doesn’t change the score, but despite how well they played and how they definitely seemed to have a bit more control in the match, it came down to them finishing worse chances and us not finishing

I get the frustration and over drama from a lot of people.
We have blown shite far too often the last 5 years and people don't forget.
Last night really felt that way, not going to lie.
Hope I'm wrong but won't be one bit surprised blowing a chance to be 7 or 10 points up.

Like I said yesterday, Im not that disappointed overall... it really could have gone either way... I mean here is just one opinion, from someone whose opinion I respect... and I saw quite a few others..

Expecting lot of tripe about how City deserved that, but Liverpool were the better side: hit the post at 0-0, a couple off the line, City with some awful defensive mix-ups, Kompany should have been off, the winner was a deflected effort that went in off the post. Fine margins.

More smoke added to the Timo Werner move to Liverpool. Would be a fantastic addition and certainly hope he makes the move.

Can you imagine this as a 4-1-2-3?
Werner
Mane Salah
Bobby. Keita
Fabs
Andy VVD Gomez TAA
Allisson

I’ve been holding out hope that this would happen but still doubt it.
