Hendo and Milner, IMO, were the X factor causing them to dominate the midfield.
Yep. I just don't know how you can look at that line up and think, "Yep. This'll work."

Did you watch the Napoli match? It worked there? It’s worked before. Not sure why everyone is poo pooing the line up. Keita’s Last two matches left a lot to be desired. Playing out wide doesn’t suit him.
Klopp was going to be conservative and hit on the counter; same thing he did last year. And for the most part it worked. City is really good, but so are we.
Yes, I would’ve like to see Shaq come on at halftime like I said before. We missed an opportunity to take advantage of their left side. But that is the best I’ve seen City play in a very long time. Everyone was tracking back for them, you never see that. They knew it was life or death and played that way.
I’m over it and don’t care about the FA Cup either. Roll out the U18s for all I care.

I mean despite the records.. It's fricking City, who have always had more quality in midfield than us...
I would have started Fab over Milner and played Hendo further forward... other than that, I can't complain too much...

The line up we went with is Klopp being scared. Just completely pathetic.
Come on dude. I can think of a lot of adjectives to describe Klopp, his coaching and his tendencies, but scared or pathetic isn't among them.
We're top of the league, we have a good run of games coming up where we should take maximum points. Be pissed we lost, but don't forget where we're at. ENJOY IT!

Can't we all just agree it was down to Lovren falling asleep for Kun's first goal??

Were we playing Napoli today? Surely you arent suggesting Napoli is on the same level as Man City?

Then don't play him out wide. Put him in the center in front of Wij and Fab.

Man City tracked back deep so they could provide the player on the ball with passing options, so he wouldn't lose the ball when Pool counter-pressed. City was straight up in the low block at times, and did a great job with their own pressing. The pressure on the front line combined with the midfield players cutting passing lanes meant that the transition phase was much higher up the field than Pool would have wanted. It was a tactical decision to drop that deep.

Play a formation we’ve never played against any side, against a top side. Seems smart.

Beat PSG with that midfield. But that’s not enough for you either. I get it. Out Klopp and FSG.

One thing cost us this game.... dejan lovren. Both goals were scored because of his incompetence. I gave him another chance, I’m done with him. Sell his arse right now

Y’all are melting way too hard
We just got beat narrowly by a damn good team away from home. If Mane’s first shot is an inch to the left, it goes in. If Sane’s goal is an inch to the right, it stays out
shite happens. Sometimes other teams just play better

Are you responding to me or in general? If me, I suggest you read my post match comments... if not, I agree
The Lovren comments are just a reminder that I have never waivered on how much he sucks!! I mean Klopp has no choice in playing him..

I’m just saying in general
But I still think it’s harsh to fully blame Lovren when Aguero pulls out a masterful near post finish and the second was just a quick attack that broke through our lines
Could he have done better? Sure. But it’s not like they were gifted chances like we’ve seen plenty of times in the past few years. Give City credit, they finished their few chances and we didn’t
ETA: Had to expect a loss was gonna come sooner or later. But I still thought we played well for the most part. That was just a tough game. Sometimes you get beat. It’s not the end of the world. Now it’s down to how we bounce back and respond

He was the worst player on the pitch... the first goal was unforgivable... not the shot, but allowing him to receive it so easily when he was in the perfect position to snuff it out.. he is and always has been a liability..
Edit: this is something I’ve come to expect with him and when it happens I usually just laugh it off... luckily, it seems Klopp realizes it and he’s no longer first choice when everyone is fit

I know we agree to disagree
I’m not saying he’s world class or that he even deserves to be first choice for us because clearly he doesn’t But just cause he’s the scapegoat doesn’t mean that everything’s always his fault
ETA: If that was Henderson instead of Gini defending Silva before the ball into Aguero, everyone would say Henderson let him get around him too easy. If that was Mignolet in goal then everyone would say he should’ve done better to defend the near post.
Defending’s very much a group effort. Everyone could’ve done a little better, but sometimes shite happens

I’m joking when I put the entire match at his feet.. obviously, there were many factors and a lot of luck involved...
There were positives...
I am still in love with Allison... after watching this there is no doubt why he is Brazil’s number 1... if TAA doesn’t deflect Sane’s shot, maybe he gets it... maybe not..
