I think it comes down to.. do you want to stay in Germany or come for a new challenge in the EPL? That simple, IMO.. no right or wrong choice..

RBL may prefer to sell to us, to get him out of the BuLi..

If he does want a new challenge in England... What better place than us at the moment??

Ive read that Bayern may prefer Luka Jovic, who is more of a classic #9...

Pulisic is off to Chelsea... this from Pearce, on why we didn't go back fro him..

quote:

The reality is that Liverpool haven't seriously considered a move for Pulisic since they bought Shaqiri for £12.5million last summer.

The Swiss attacker was the Pulisic alternative and he was snapped up at an absolute bargain price. Pulisic is still more potential than proven quality having scored 15 goals in 115 games for Dortmund.

The size of the fee was also prohibitive. Liverpool wouldn't buy a squad player for £58million and they certainly wouldn't pay that for a squad player who had less than 18 months remaining on his contract.

Klopp happily left the way clear for Chelsea to swoop.

Working from home provides me the luxury to watch any and all televised Liverpool matches.

FSG has been spending wisely and balancing the books. They wouldn't pay £57 million for Pulisic. Shaq was a steal at £12 million in comparison. Much better player at this point as well. If they offered a straight swap of Pulisic for Shaq I wouldn't take it. I love that little cubed bastard.

It's not an either/or situation. We still need another quality winger.

There’s plenty of ways to solve that besides spending 58 mil on what is certainly a backup as things stand

Of course I love CP and would be ecstatic if he played for LFC but it makes way more sense to spend big money on someone like Werner who could get regular playing time and then let Edwards/Klopp do what they’ve been doing best the last few years and find quality players under the radar for a good price to address squad depth

We have one. On loan at Derby atm, Harry Wilson. He will be with us next year. Not to mention Camacho.

Appears to be on his way to Sporting Lisbon on loan.

Sturridge made what appeared to be a farewell tweet today as well.

I'm ok not spending on Pulisic, though I hate the fact I'll now pull for Chelsea when they aren't playing Liverpool. Seems like an obvious tell that Hazard is on his way out.

Seeing more and more reports linking us to Rabiot, and though I'd welcome him to the squad, it sure makes for a crammed midfield of Fabinho, Keita, Wij, Milner, Hendo, Lallana and Shaq. Unless he can play CB too.

I'm okay not buying Pulisic... we don't have unlimited funds.. It's impossible to say, without knowing what our plans are for this window and the summer, for that position and other positions..

There is def a lot more value out there, in his position, if you only take into account talent..

Leon Bailey should be on our radar. He hasn't lit up the league this season like he did a year ago, but the talent is there. I wouldn't be disappointed with Chucky Lozano either. I think both could be had for less than the CP fee and they're similar players.

Pepe at Lille is probably moving on to a bigger league this summer as well

I'd be happy to spend FSG's money and give Barcelona around £30-35M for Malcom.

Gonna be a long black-out day for me, boys. The son-unit wants to watch the game with me but he doesn't get off until 6:00 PM, so I'm on black-out until he gets to the house.

I apologize in advance for not contributing my sparkling game commentary to the group.

I had to work an early morning shift at work, so I was supposed to be off, but now I have to pop back in from 1:30-3:00... But will only be tied up from 2:30-3:00, So I'll be able to catch most of it (I was not happy about this decision

just made it home

the team selection is not a big surprise it all... Had a feeling he would go with that midfield three

Have a good feeling about this one. City have to try to play on the front foot today and they're doing it with John Stones at right back. He can't keep up with Sadio and Robbo all day

We very well may win, but I'm just not a fan of a midfield 3 with none of them being decent in the final third.

Milner can play a final ball. Klopp knows that City have to go for 3 points today, he's opted for the steady heads in the midfield. This same lineup blitzkrieged their way to the champions league final last season with Karius in goal.

I think Ox played a big part in that.
