I didn't really want a replay. Frees us up for the PL and Champions League.

I did... I love the FA Cup...

2 losses in a row to crap teams... Klopp needs to get this trend reversed quickly..

He may be rethinking the last couple of days in the window... though I'm convinced we won't do anything...

So let me get this straight. We get VVD after fricking it up in the summer. Klopp then decides to sell our best player for a fortune. And then he decides for the second straight January that we are good with the club we have while just about every other club that we need to compete against is strengthening? I love the guy but if he can’t see that we desperately need a number of pieces right now than I can’t defend him on that opinion.

Hey, we signed a young LB (that won't play immediately).

well I think we've seen that if specific targets aren't available, he isn't going to just buy anyone... I'm sure they did the leg work behind the scenes

I'm okay with that... I'm tired of buying average players..

But then hold on to Coutinho until the summer..

My bigger concern than replacing Coutinho is that we basically have one striker...

THIS... Ings cannot be first off the bench unless the staff just rates him as world class (and I don't know how they could seeing as he hasn't played in almost two years).

This is definitely true, and I'm 100% okay with it, we've seen where panic buys get us (*cough* Balotelli and Lambert *cough*)

Random side trivia: Liverpool Reds and the Cincinnati Reds last league championship came in 1990. Who do you think wins it again first? LFC winning PL or cincy winning the NL.

Wasn't able to follow the thread until late in the game since I was playing a match in my recliner league. Saw your comments and chose the one that fit the most.

Anyone remember the feeling we had 2 weekends ago after City? such a Liverpool way to follow that up

We desperately need Keita providing some protection for the defense

And we desperately need Clyne to be resurrected and take back the rb spot

Also, we’ve missed 6 of last 10 penalty attempts. After the Stevie G era and even Milner being absolute money from the spot the last couple seasons, doesn’t really seem like we have anyone we can count on (unless of course milly is in the game)

I just watched up until their third goal and turned it off and checked the score.

Holy crap Can and Mignolet were awful (not that he rest of defense and midfield looked much better)

Can has looked so disinterested lately... I'm ready to ship him off to Juve honestly

I think we all saw what a difference Hendo's passing made. He gets made fun of a lot, but had several passes through the lines, lots of great angled switching of the field etc. The problem is, he can't break down a defense. But at least he's doing something that may give someone else space to do it. Gini won't try. Can is very hit or miss (and been miss mostly) etc.

Horrible defending - bad games by several of our guys, plus some rusty players = letting in a few goals. I thought Moreno's offensive link up was good, but he looked mentally rusty on defense. He was far from our worst defender though. TAA stunk up the joint. Matip had maybe his worst game. VVD didn't exactly cover himself in glory. The midfield, CAn in particular, were zero help at all.

One last thing - @#$@ Pardew.

Weird thing is that the same midfield looked spot-on and played great against Man City.

And utterly useless against Swansea and West Brom.

And the weird thing is, unlike Swansea, West Brom wasn't exactly parking their bus. They actually played the kind of pretty open game that, in general, Liverpool have had success against.

But, as you said, many players (not just Can) just looked disinterested out there. The energy level immediately went up when Hendo, Milly, and Ings came on the field.

yeah, I'm not in the skys falling mode yet.. but our form is concerning if we dont turn it around quickly..

This was probably our best chance at silverware and if we miss out on top 4, then Klopp really has to look at the decisions he made in January and reevaluate how he's building this club...

I think if we can make a little noise in the KO rounds of the UCL and finish top 4, we'll still have had a good season (not great)... and the quality of players coming in will help us to keep improving.. we just need to accelerate the process or we will start losing players and keep taking a step back..

If we have the Coutinho money + UCL money + our regular transfer budget... we should be able to plug our key needs this summer... I just sure hope we are locking those guys up now and keep UCL, if moves are contingent on that qualification..

That was surprising since he's been out for so long... maybe it was the sense of urgency when he came on to do something, because he usually is content playing the safe pass... I wish he would do that more often.. At least it would make up for his defensive deficiencies in that position..

Moreno is in a no win situation, he's just gonna get blamed regardless of what he does (Much like Lovren and Migs)... It may be in his best interest to move on... If we can get a top LB, I'd be okay with that and AR as a backup... though I think we have bigger needs.. I think he's been by and large good this season, bar the Sevilla match..

Migs proved that Klopp is right in giving the #1 job to Karius... let him get a run of games and develop some form and chemistry with the defense... Though I dont envy having to play behind our defense.. I cant blame him for not being sharp when he plays so sporadically.. This is probably his last chance to show he can be the #1 keeper... I'm rooting for him, though not overly optimistic..

Sturridge to WBA on loan looks done, pending a medical

Stat I just read...

Sturridge has 6 goal contributions in 12 games this season. Ings and Solanke have 0 between them.

Obviously, Studge’s time is up, but having nothing in the squad depth is insane...
