The "French" women's team is about 2 WCs away from being all African like their mens team

I completely agree- the men would simply out muscle-- the women would never win control of a ball in the air. Every clearing header would result in a breakaway goal.

As to speed- nearly all of the men are faster and more athletic/agile as well.

In goal- male keepers are larger, taller and with longer wingspan in addition to being more powerfully built.

It is no comparison.

This team has zero offense and terrible ball control. Even simple passes are 10 yards off the mark. Defense has been stout and very good. I hope that will be enough.

Can clearly tell Rose is slower. As is Morgan. Def Rapinoe.

Ellis HAS to put Press and likely Loyd in sooner rather than later in the second right? No pressure on the French side so a long while.

you can tell our midfield isn’t used to being the less athletic team

Is the US going to favoured in each of the remaining matches?

Gonzalez could beat all of them, I bet.

Was kind of a joke. I still think Crystal Dunn would beat him, but half these girls aren’t running their 40 in under 5.0

I would hope Omar could do that.

It's well-known that a good boys U-15 team would work most women's national teams. The US team has a 5'7 CB. A 5'7 CB would never make it in the men's game.

I like the women's game, because technique is really important. You also see the places where physicality accents technique, notably in long passing and shooting.

Why are we taking all these shitty shots from outside the box?

Well. Finally a good run by Rose. Not the greatest shot, but gets us to half.

US survived... survived pretty much that entire last 20ish minutes.

Yah women's soccer and women's tennis work very well IMO. Womens tennis works better than mens tennis on grass.

It’s like we forgot how to possess and be calm or something.

Their keeper is notorious for butchering balls from outside the box. I’m sure they were all told to test her
