Has the Dutch even had a shot on goal in this game? Their best opportunity to score was probably the through ball that our goalkeeper had to venture out of the box to clear.

She does not have many redeemable qualities in the run of play, though. I will not deny her set piece and penalty prowess, but more often than not she’s indecisive in possession and tries to do too much.

I like Rapinoe just fine but her skills have degraded to just set pieces. She doesn’t have that sick finishing speed anymore, can’t keep possession, and has been sloppy passing.
Press gives you three attackers with speed to burn with Rose and Morgan. Press’ first touch has been lethal. She blurs by defenders. No reason she shouldn’t have been in.

Rapinoe has played some good crosses and corners today. Other than that, pretty much same ole Rapinoe. If she doesn’t get a perfect ball played to her with space, she’s a ghost on the field. Give her another 15 min and sub Press in. It should be the opposite in my opinion. Press should start as she has more potential to beat other players and score. Bring in Rapinoe as a super sub.
