I think US soccer fans are good in general because the ones that go to matches like this are true fans...I'd rather true fans go and mimic Europe than have it filled with typical american corporate culture buying up suites and box seats for business meetings not giving a frick about the game. I will say I'd draw the line with euro style naming. I mean Real salt lake? Sporting Kansas City? DC United? Please

Every student section that jumps we don't say hey don't do that it's fake that's only allowed at duke.
During downtown at football games we sig songs like hey fightin tiger. They sing USA songs...damn them fakers.
If people don't like it I guess you can call it fake. But if you enjoy it its not fake...it's fun. For fricks sake everyone lsu does duri a football ga,e is some type of dance.
As far a the anthem that's USA soccer frick up. Why they insist on having a singer do it is stupid. The ga,ex they allow the crowd do it its awesome

What are American fans supposed to think? Hey, lets act European!
We named a city in freaking Utah...Real Salt Lake...copying Real Madrid...There is nothing royal in Salt Lake...and the only "King" that bestowed anything on them was a Mormon and his polygamy.
All the uniforms are kits, the field is a pitch and I bet the "supporters" yell Oye! from the stands and say shite like..."oh, bad luck" when a player screws up.
I think the fans in some places have real human passion but the playground that's been created to show this passion is pure Disneyland.

I find football fans to be the laziest fans in sport. Or at least the dumbest. You are told when to cheer loud....3rd down. That's it.
A big basketball gae will have better more knowledgable fans than football ever will. You have to choose for yourself when to cheer not a 3rd down and a get loud guy

Soccer fans in every corner of the world "act" this way.
Never fails though every time the US mens team plays there is some insecure joker that says the same damn things.

Eh, I REALLY want to like soccer. I really do. Hell I played it until I was 12-13. I think they would be better served letting the sport grow organically than trying to imitate Europe.

Yea except the results and growth in the last 15 years tells a completely different tale.
Hell the English Premier League game of the week is broadcast on NBC.
Its a world game. There is nothing wrong with the U.S. growing into that instead of feeling the need to be unique because "Merica"

Exactly. This is the most sure fire tell that someone doesnt really follow soccer at all globally at which point I usually just discount the "opinion" and laugh.
