yeah, last season we just had a few meaningless games so he repented... right now, he really wants to keep playing so he is gonna deny at all costs... he knows he's facing a ban..

He knows what he did (as does the URU FA), but he (they) has a lot on the line...

I don't think he will get away with it though... It's a shame, because they have a puncher's chance to win it... He will have let his teammates down..

Then he (they) is retarded... admit it and own up to it... can't hurt his case... all the bullshite he (they) is spewing is only making it worse...

Well FIFA has the power to make it including club

This is incorrect

No it isn't. I've heard it multiple times from various pundits that FIFA absolutely has the power to ban him from club and country.

You're right, they do have the power but to use it for anything other than doping or match fixing, if the FA or UEFA were opposed, would set quite a precedent.

I would think FIFA should seek the FAs blessing if they don't want to step on toes.

I'm indifferent to it all now. If he's suspended, good he deserves it. If he isn't we win tons of games. Either way I'm ok with what happens.

Just saying

Man, I wasn't talking about what posters like us on this message board were saying. I was talking about what the majority of commentators and experts across the football world were saying. Hence, the use of the word "pundits." They detest what Suarez did. Thus, the level of outrage and publicity over the incident.

But while we're at it, most neutral fans feel this way as well. And I even have people who don't follow the game coming up and asking me to please explain to them why this guy is biting people. They are utterly appalled and in disbelief.

So, yes, outside of the Liverpool bubble, most people are disgusted with Suarez's actions and aren't trying to justify it as no worse than a headbutt or elbow. Of course, there are a few exceptions as you pointed out. But don't confuse those people as representing anything close to a majority.

Yeah, I'm sure he's already over it. Probably doesn't have an opinion at all.

That is funny though. If we're having a laugh, I like this pic better...

ughhhh

LINK

quote:

If found guilty and punished for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini, Luis Suarez could mount appeal to delay suspension and play in Uruguay's World Cup 2014 round of 16 game with Colombia

quote:

Uruguay could exploit a loophole in Fifa's disciplinary process to guarantee Luis Suarez can play against Colombia in the World Cup 2014 round of 16 at the Maracana on Saturday.

quote:

Despite promising a decision on the case as a matter as a matter of "urgency", Fifa has been unable to guarantee any appeal launched by the 27-year-old would not allow him to play again at the tournament.

Downright shameful if he does this.

An unsuccessful appeal should lead to a bigger punishment imo

one of those links is a pic of what looks like a player drop kicking a fan.

Suarez is a POS but that does seem worse than biting IMO.
