I do like Italy's national anthem, and I'm eating left over pizza as we speak.

Italy it is.

A 4-1-6 with no defined striker vs. a 3-5-2.

This is awesome.

Buffon just made Casillas uncomfortable with that kiss. Then he fist bumps the refs instead of shaking hands.

Espana has no one to stretch the defense and create depth. This will be interesting.

No such thing as a 4-1-6, but yes this is tactical pornography.

Del Bosque chooses Fabregas over Torres to replace Villa.

Maybe the MLS isn't too far off for this guy.

It's a 4-3-3 without a true center forward.

Serious question. How long before Balotelli hits the books? 10 mins.....20 due to Spains posession?

Balotelli will have a card or goal by 45 minutes.

So if Villa or Torres or Soldado or Negredo or Llorente would have started where Cesc did, then you'd call it 433?

It's a 4-3-3 but it's an extremely flawed version. Their two "wingers" love drifting inside and their center forward likes to come back and pick up the ball around midfield. They're going to have to rely on some smart runs by Fabregas, which I expect he'll provide.
