They are playing 6 players listed midfielders yes, but that has little to do with the positioning of the players.

Two of those midfielders are playing in two winger positions and Fabregas is taking the role as a false CF in a 4-3-3 formation.

I hate De Rossi but that dude can defend with the best of them.

Yeah, when I think Balotelli, I think "gentleman" ... no doubt.

For Spain to play an attacking mid up top as a lone striker and go 5 midfielders they really aren't dominating the possession nearly as much as they normally do oddly enough.

Sure it's in Italy's half for the most part but Spain don't look all that threatening.

This is why I'm rooting for Italy

while I agree that SOME Italian women are really perfect,
the two examples you provided would not get an OT rating over 7.
Apologies if they are your wife and sister.

He's such a good passer from the back too. As long as he defends well enough it could be kind of a brilliant move, cause he can deal with Spain's pressing. Its like having two deep lying playmakers with him and Pirlo.

I want to be in a room with Balotelli and Pirlo having a conversation.

Spain's lost a step. They may win this game, but they don't look like the world beaters of tournaments past.

Two tournaments past.

Dreadfully dull, I can't imagine Pirlo giving him any recognition whatsoever.

They've been playing for 15 minutes.

That would be the funny part, IMO. Balotelli's reaction to Pirlo's lack of interest.

Who has looked that good (outside of Russia against a team determined not to defend)so far?

This tournament looks pretty wide open.

Does Silva have a right foot that works? The defender is only focusing on taking away his left. Step over, exit right, shoot.
