I've had issues with girls showing up, but none about them not getting the ball enough. The ones I've played with have usually sucked though...so they never wanted the damn thing.
The only thing I worry about is it's the Winter Season. Shits going to get cold in February.

I manage a few teams (coed outdoor 7v7, mens open indoor, and mens open outdoor 7v7) and I agree it's a bitch. To make it worse, the first 8 teams in each division to get a full roster paid get in, so its very stressful getting everyone to pay on time when there's around 12 teams competing for 8 spots. Then there's the fine line between having too many players and having to play short. I also hate having to cut people from the roster as I am really an easy going guy off the field.

It would be different if I had to cut people IRL, but won't bother me via the web.

Co-Ed team on the internet? Lol
There are no girls on here.

I mean I don't usually tell them in person. Normally they go to pay for the new season and text me asking why they aren't on the roster and I have to spell it out for them, or they see they aren't on the roster and get the message.

Just saying if we have too many people sign up, it wouldn't be too hard to say "sorry" via the internet. I'd hate doing that shite in person.
I know a few chicks that would probably play. Hopefully a few other people on here know a few girls too.

Oh yea. I mean guys who have been on the team a few seasons and just aren't cutting it, talent wise.

Shiiiiit. You need fifteen GIRLS to field a coed team.
They'll all show up for two games out of the season, and bitch about not playing enough.
For the other six games, three of the fifteen will show up and bitch because you have to play two players down.
They'll ALL bitch about not getting the ball enough (regardless of skill level), so there's that to look forward to.
This could not be more true.

I will guest play when in town

I'm so sorry I can't lead you all to the promised land. Let me know if you want to start one in Nola and win the US Open.

Is there not a men's winter season?
I would much rather that.

Sorry pal, no guest players allowed in BRSA league play....ALL players must be properly registered.
Posted on 11/25/13 at 6:56 pm to Broski
Next mens' BRSA season begins in late March
Posted on 11/25/13 at 6:57 pm to tickfawtiger
Tickfaw, I guarantee you I can guest play. Deal with it.

Men's leagues are Spring and Fall only

If we need a GK, I have a buddy who would play with us. He played GK in HS and plays intramural, he'd be at least decent for us

Don't be a dickbag.
Tell them as early as possible that they aren't part of the plans, so they have time to find another team.
You can make up the reason, but you need to let them know.

Quite a few people posting in here, but no commitments....what are the excuses?
Posted on 11/25/13 at 8:18 pm to lsugerberbaby
I don't live in BR, or I would.

Well I'm not gonna tell them during the season because they'll A) stop showing up, or B) stop giving a frick. There are two weeks between seasons (8 weeks on, 2 weeks off, repeat). That usually gives them a couple weeks to figure out what they need to do if they want to keep playing in that particular division. I also always make it clear at the start of the season that no one is a sure thing for next season. Also, this is the largest adult league in the nation with multiple divisions playing all across town every night of the week, so it's not some small league where I'm basically screwing them over from playing anymore.
It goes both ways, too. I've had people say they were coming back only to see them on another team in the divison's roster more than once.
