And he's described as "volatile"? Well shite

This is what I was thinking. We must be fricked.
We should maybe sit a couple key guys that are sitting on yellows.. I'm looking at you Jones.

We have 10 players on yellows, most of them starters.

Is there a dumber rule in sports than card accumulation? I don't think so.

Looks like the Mexico/Honduras game will be reffed by a Panamanian. Honduras's next game? Panama. Things are definitely stacked in Mexico's favor.

You guys spent the whole summer crowing about how we're the deepest national team in the history of international soccer.

Now you're crying about the referee for the next match.

Jesus.... take a Midol, have a cranberry and vodka and calm down.

I never said that, and I'm not crying now.

Don't be a dick, having a Mexican ref the game before our game against Mexico is very poor planning on CONCACAF's side. It's so poor that it seems blatant.

We're playing AWAY to Costa Rica. A draw would be a respectable result, send the Gold Cup roster and play balls to the walls defense. Assuring that we qualify in Mexico's face in Ohio.

Meh.

Most CONCACAF refs hate us anyway (or that's the assumption).

The worst ref we've had in the past couple years was that Canadian frick in the Gold Cup (or the Guatemala game, whichever it was.)

Do we know who is calling Mexico's game? Maybe we sent them Mark Geiger. Or if we really wanted to frick up their match, Jair Marufo or Terry Vaughn.

So they pick the Mexican ref known for dishing out cards when half our team is on a yellow and we play Mexico next game? I know you like to take opposing sides but this is not alright, it just begs for a conflict of interest controversy.

I agree in that respect. But the better referees are going to be from the bigger nations in the region, so this stuff will pop up from time to time.

Dracula is one of the better referees in our region, if not the best. (I think Walter Quesada (?) is still considered the top guy...) Dracula also knows that the microscope will be on him.

Jesus, you guys have me defending CONCACAF *and* referees.

Have we ever lost at home to Mexico in qualifying? If so, when was the last time we did?

I find saying we are going to get NO points to these games both asinine and reactionary.

I'm with CWill on this one. It's one thing to say we will get shafted against Costa Rica but to say all of our guys with yellows right now will get one and we'll be fricked for Mexico is a bit of an overreaction. Lets just see how this first game plays out.

We are going to frick Mexico's world up regardless. They are absolute trash right now. We will qualify right in their eye.
