Not sure why dumbass arsenal fans are acting like giddy schoolgirls. Leicester beat them too and if arsenal wants to act like they accomplished something then go right ahead. The fact that barely finishing above Spurs is somehow rewarding to them shows how scared they are of Spurs success.

So much lulz

Now that they see their season as a success, hopefully they'll keep their shite team intact while Spurs continues to ascend.

There's a big difference between reveling in a rival's failure and celebrating your own success. Arsenal fans aren't happy with this season. It was miserable, and most fans are hoping for a lot of changes this summer.

Also, it's not a big deal to simply finish above Spurs. That's not what all the hoopla is about. It's all about how it happened. Also, SwaggerCopter is a big reason for the reaction on this board.

Exactly. It's not a binary. You can be pissed about your own season and still revel in the fact that your rival bottled their best season in decades in hilarious fashion and finished below you after weeks of bragging to the contrary.

Now let's laugh at Robbie Savage blasting yet another delusional Sp*rs fan.

You know what, though?

I hope you Spurs fans are right, and that you keep improving.

You finished third this year. Finish second next year. Will make for a very sweet 22nd straight St. Totteringham's Day.

Wise thinking. Spurs need to win before chirping.

On the other hand, Arsenal is living on ancient history. Once your title is more than 7-8 years old, it's not relevant for bragging.

I agree OP.
Prepare for hate though. The EPL knows we are on the rise and title contenders now. They scared.

I get it that the cups are important. I was talking about the league, which I consider a bigger accomplishment. Anyone who says they'd trade winning the league for the FA cup is lying.

With the FA cup last year for example, they jumped in at the 4th round and played Hull, Brighton and Hove, Boro, ManU, Reading and Villa.

Is there any doubt Arse is the more successful club? None.

I don't think you will find one sane person that would say this. So, that point doesn't really hold much weight.

I am the more successful club. Thanks for noticing.

I'm pretty sure no one has said that. Ever.

Maybe if Chelsea, City, and Tottenham didn't lose in the 4th round, there would have been more difficult draws for Arsenal. Sorry for not sucking.

Of course not. That was my point. An Arsenal fan making an irrelevant point about winning the FA cup.

You need to take a course in logic because this is not anywhere close to relevant. Or maybe just take off your fan glasses for just a minute.

The funny thing about this is that I actually like Arsenal.

Well if you think Arsenal are living in ancient history, you don't know the fans that well.

This link explains Tottenham's season better than anyone can.

quote:

“That definitely makes it harder because we know how much it means to the fans and how much it means to the club,” Kane said. “When people think Arsenal had a bad season and we’ve had a good one, yet they still finish above us, it hurts.

I understand. I'm just saying, that by their standards, they haven't had a good season in quite a long time.

On a side note, that 2003 team was about the best time I've ever had watching/following soccer.

You made the dumb statement about Arsenal living off of ancient history, which is still dumb talking about league.

Big sides lose to smaller clubs, Arsenal punished for beating smaller clubs. Seriously A+ logic.

Plus Arsenal had to beat Spurs, Liverpool, and Everton on their way to the 2014 Cup.

That's both true and untrue. We have key failures each season, yet at full power we look like the best team in the league. The fact is that we are rarely at full strength though, mostly do to injuries and those back up players not performing as they did in the past. We've had long unbeaten runs each season going back to 2007, but we can't put it together when it counts. We've had brilliant half-seasons for the past 8 years.

As far as Spurs go, they had a chance to win the league, but were shut out six times and had a chance conversion rate of 10%. They benefited from great positional structure and a weak league, but didn't have the required quality.
