Glad USA lost with the gay pride jerseys. Get politics and sexual preference out of sports.
Not my USA.
Not my USA.

Don’t care what anyone says, officials allowing this lgbtq agenda to infiltrate soccer like this is a disgrace. They had the rainbow all over the stadium as well….its way over the top and unnecessary

Serious question, what exactly are they celebrating?

A cult that abuses and mutilates kids.

Growing up as a lad watching the 94 WC, the pride was in our nation that transcended everything else. It was like watching the Olympics but more. Now it’s an attempt for corporate alliance to wrap a nation in identity politics. Young boys are supposed to find hope in sexual fluidity, not national unity.

What’s the worst that could happen if they didn’t go out of their way to do stuff like this?

Sob stories in the media about how little kids looked to the pride jersey as a source of inspiration and the USMNT's decision to scale it back is literally genocide.

And people wonder why the USMNT can’t get to the elite level…the way that US Soccer markets the sport in the country, why would any athletic kid (especially from poor urban areas) sign up to play the sport when they make it look so lame ? no they’re gonna play a real alpha sport that they can relate to like football/basketball which markets to that demographic

You could t fit this into the three threads also discussing this?

US Soccer has become a joke as well just like many other organizations that have been pressured into doing the same thing.

Pressured by who? Surely the players would come out and say “I don’t want to wear this shirt but I’m being forced to” or they would quit the team altogether but not a peep. We’re in the conspiracy theory bizarro world.

I guess you missed the story of Mohamed Camara covering up the pride symbol on his jersey and received a 4-game suspension.

So he stood by his principles and quit the team and gave any interview offered to defend his viewpoint? I’m asking because I don’t know who this person is.

Oh good, this thread again.

The only thing gayer than the rainbow jersey is this annual melt.

The marketing of the team has nothing to do with the USMNT not being elite. Us not having elite talent is why we're not elite... that's not because we wear rainbow numbers for a pair of friendlies, it's because we don't have the proper coaching at the grassroots level to cultivate elite talent.
Gay pride is marketed across pretty much all sports this month because it's an easy way to say they are doing something "for the conversation" instead of actually doing something of note for those causes.
It's an easy facade to see through.

It has to do with the perception of the sport in America which can definitely trickle down.

The WNBA might not even be as gay as soccer in this country.

What do you mean by “grassroots level?”

I have no idea how I can be more specific.

The WNBA pays for LGBT marketing season-round, the USMNT does it for literally two friendlies every year.
So... no.
