He's just had injuries problems.
Guy can't stay fit.
Talent is all well and good but not if you aren't available.
Jack Wilshere would be an example.

Again, not scoring when it counts has always been a hallmark of great US scorers since LD and thats a very valid criticism of USMNT over the last couple decades.

He was really good for Chelsea when he was healthy. Glad they decided the risk wasn’t worth the reward with a huge salary/extended contract. At the time I hated it but it turned out to be the right move. Sometimes Chelsea’s Board gets it right but not often enough.

Dude has no business being called for the national team anymore. He's a cancer and a distraction, and most importantly not that good.
