The author of that article has accused me of unethical actions. I wouldn't trust a word he has to say.

Come on man, one or two of those guys might have a shot at actually making the USMNT for the World Cup or any other major competition.

Well, two already have played in a World Cup, and there's a reasonable expectation that Adu and Cameron will be involved in the next World Cup.

What's your thoughts on Philly? I just bought their jersey from Ross yesterday. I guess i'm trying to decide between them and KC.

I bought that exact same kit (probably) from Ross the other day.

The GM traded some of their best players before he left. Bottom of the league right now, but they're into the USO semis and have been playing well under their interim head coach. Fan base is crazy good, and they've got a great SSS. Newer franchise with a tough road ahead, but they could contend in two or three years.

Ching and Albright

ETA: Neither won the Golden Boot or the world player of the year that year, so you probably didn't notice.

I'd prefer an eastern conference team.

Dude, we're trying to get new MLS fans here. Not people who will get frustrated, depressed and then give up on the league.

I will get behind the other Pool posters and say I had zero interest in MLS until I moved to Houston last year. I can't give you a rational explanation to the "well you'll cheer for a team across the world" argument, I think its just a mental thing. I think maybe its because I can actually go to a game if I want to? I'm not really sure, it may be because as Americans we're pre-disposed to not cheering for another city's sports teams (well, with bandwagoner expections). I sure as shite don't cheer for the Rockets and I don't particularly care if the Texans win or lose. This may be also a nola thing, we're a prideful and slightly arrogant bunch.

eta: fwiw I would have gone to the Dynamo game (stadium is awesome) tonight but I'm prepping some smoked meats for a cookout for the Euro final tomorrow.

The MLS is the sacred cow of the Soccer Board. It's a crime to talk ill of it. Without a local team to root for it means very little to me. Yes, I support Chelsea and am a huge epl fan. I root for a team across an ocean in a foreign league. The difference is night and day between the two leagues. Can I watch an MLS game? Yes, if there is nothing else sports related on tv. I also don't follow AAA baseball which is what MLS is in my eyes. I know that makes me a pretentious dick but I am past caring at this point. I am not calling anyone out who does watch. These are obviously my personal opinions on the league.

I watch and appreciate it for what it is. If I get a team in Atlanta, watch me be at the front of the line for the best season tickets in the house.

I have no interest in the MLS and therefore will not watch it. If I lived in an MLS city then I would probably change my mind. I don't see why people get so defensive about it.

I was MIA during this crucial thread yesterday, because of my first gameday experience with the NASL first place San Antonio Scorpions FC.

People who bash MLS nitpick on what's not good about the league, rather than look at the positives.

Rarely do people (Dandy Lion notwithstanding) bash the Premier League for what it's not (and believe me there's a bunch).
