I don't mind the concept of the penalty shootout. I do, however, think it's an abysmal way to decide a match.
To be fair, I am yet to come up with a better idea myself outside of the good, old-fashioned replay.

I played keeper for a bit and it always amazed me when people miss them... they're so easy to make.

I'm pretty lukewarm on them. I posted this in an "alternative to PKs thread"

I saw an idea a few days ago where the PKs would be held before the 30-minute overtime. I think I could get behind that idea.

I used to hate them until I read Soccernomics. There's a whole chapter in there on PKs that swayed me.
