within reason
Should not be in the vocabulary of a "timed" sport.

FIFA will never allow the US to win the World Cup. Everyone needs to realize this.

I would be in favor of more transparent timekeeping. I like the use of technology in all sports.
However, this game is not the one to use as supporting evidence for that argument.

Even though I would have said 2 minutes you are correct. My opinion on this is not based on this match.

I went back to the DVR to see play stoppages in the second OT.
-Goal by Julian Green 106:17-107:05 (48 secs)
-Sub by Belgium 110:04-110:54 (50 secs)
-Axel Witsel injury 115:24-115:58 (34 secs)
-Courtois goal kick 117:02-117:29 (27 secs)
All of these were timed exactly when the ball was stopped, so you could take off ~5 secs each for buffer. Also, the Courtois goal kick shouldn't have counted for extra time, but I thought he should have been booked. Regardless, it definitely should have been two minutes. This was the third time we were screwed on extra time in this World Cup.
