Liverpool wrapping up the League in January then crashing out of the CL early has me using my Paramount subscription to watch tons of League One. What a day for the Dragons ! 2 points clear and tied on GD now thanks to Charlton whipping up on the Chair Boys ! The Addicks are flying and they play at the Racecourse on Saturday before Wrexham finish up @ Lincoln City. Wycombe have to travel to Leyton Orient Saturday before their final match @ home against Stockport. Love to see Wrexham beat Charlton and the Blues drop points to the O's. Mullen and some other players that have struggled to make it into the squad could make an appearance in the final season's match with promotion in hand. But a loss on Saturday could mean heartbreak and put an end to all the fairy tale shite very quickly.

Gonna be a tough match vs. Charlton. Wrexham will be happy to have that match at home.

Leyton Orient just scored on Wycombe to take a 1-0 lead.

If Wycombe goes down, Wrexham can earn promotion with a win today.

ETA: Leyton wins!

Next year could be pretty interesting to see them in the championship

Wonder how they will shape the team to deal with that league

How much money you think Rob and Ryan made?
What’s the valuation of wrexham?
What did they buy them for a couple years back?

Wrexham's club valuation has soared, reaching around £100 million, a 4,900% increase since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased the club in 2021 for £2 million. This surge is largely attributed to their Hollywood fame, the success of the Welcome to Wrexham TV show, and strong commercial deals. Promotion to the Championship would further enhance Wrexham's value by increasing broadcast revenue and global brand recognition.
Not sure how accurate that is but one hell of an increase, so right now in league 1 they are around 128 million USD

Wonder what there PSR looks like with the commercial deals they have etc

I visited Wrexham in October and talked to several locals about the team's plans moving forward.

The local government has delayed every single renovation plan Ryan and Rob have submitted.

There's a growing suspicion the politicians in the area don't want them to move up to the Premier League.

Good detailed article detailing how Wrexham put it all together this year. Long read but very interesting.

Isn’t the population only about 45-50k in the town itself and a little over 100k in the entire county? Maybe the locals don’t want to get too big, too fast in case this little project gets boring for reynolds and co.

I could definitely see this getting too big too fast for them. I’m sure at some point having a Hollywood guy and his cameras probably gets old.

Championship is going to be a MASSIVE step up in terms of away fans wanting to travel, quality, etc. Even if they somehow make it up they will be a yo yo club at best and the local politicians may just not be down for that kind of investment and roller coaster ride yet.
