I ONLY sell if you think you have a world class option locked up to bring in behind him.

AI had a great podcast on this today.

Sturridge is FOURTH ALL TIME Premier League in goals/assists per minute (or minutes per goal/assist) Not just for 'Pool. Thats the entire Premier League. Drogba, Henry and Suarez are ahead of him.

He's Liverpools best all time Premier League goals per minute.

Since we signed him, in games he's started, we average 2.4 points per game. That EPL Title type numbers.

IMO, we ONLY sell him if for whatever reason, we can't also bring in a top performer to be next to him due to wage restrictions, etc.

Time for 'Pool to stop selling our top talent every year.

How many games has he played and how many games has he missed though. That's my issue with Sturridge. Immense talent that can't stay healthy.

Gotta sell him for that price tag, and trust JK and the board to find a replacement that doesn't suck (and frankly I trust JK more than I ever did BR).

I've been the biggest advocate for keeping Sturridge, but I'd sell at 45-50... I think you can get a good replacement and still have money left over...

Only because of his injury history...

I will add that I don't believe that rumor one bit...

Started planning a trip to Cali for the summer (wasn't gonna go, but I've never got to see them play in person, think it's time to change that)

Hector from koln mentions that if klopp talked to him he'd half to give serious consideration. Seems to have taken over as starting German left back. I've only watched him a couple of times for the national team but I would be all for him and Moreno with hector as the first choice. That would be a solid set up imo.

I've said it before on here but I really believe that you are looking at a total overhaul this summer. I think players that we aren't even discussing will be sold and this squad will look a lot different. Klopp has come out and said that anyone who is not happy can leave this summer. He has the backing of FSG and I think he strikes while the iron is hot.

Transfer rumors have exploded that we are confident of getting gotze for 15-20m. While not our biggest position of need, I think that would be great.

Also both city and pool have put a bid for ter stegen north of 20m.

Love those international breaks.

Again, the way it read as of 3 or 4 weeks ago when it was first announced that Bayern was not going to be keeping Gotze after this season was that Gotze was Klopps to lose. And more recent reports only seem to bolster that first thought. Honestly, if we could sell Sturridge to PSG for 45 mill, snag Gotze for 15 mill, and use the change to get some depth at CB, along with a solid keeper, it would be a fantastic offseason.

Y'all think we're okay with Bob and Origi up top? Not a lot of depth there. I still think we need to bring in a proven striker if we sell Sturridge. I like Cou, Bob, Gotze as attacking mids in 4-2-3-1, but we still need a finisher.

I'll take Ter Stegen over a decent striker every time though. I'm over Migs

I like how Origi has improved under Klopp and think he will continue to develop. Idk if he is ready for the job full time right now though. Only reason I say sell Sturridge is if that rumored price from PSG is true. I would hate to let him go really, but for 45-50 mill, we would be insane not to sell him, given his injury history. Next year we will have Ings back from injury also, so thats another forward that will add depth at the least. When Klopp first came, he was talking up Ings a lot, so Im curious to see how he treats him once healthy.
