I'm all for selling Sturridge at that price. I completely forgot about ings too. That's good depth assuming he comes back to full strength, the guy works his arse off on the pitch.

Im cautiously optimistic about Origi but do have some doubts that he could be the tip of the spear right now for a side with top 4 aspirations. If it comes down to it, would you play him up top with Cou, Gotze, Bob behind him...or Bob up top with Cou, Gotze, Lallana behind? Lallana has physical limitations but he knows when and where to run and he's a technical wizard, which makes up for his plodding pace

Purely hypothetical obviously as Gotze is in Munich

I think the stars aligned on this one, and we are getting a steal.

I really hope this comes off... this would be huge! Not out biggest need, but just a couple years ago, this guy was talked about as becoming one of the best players in the world...

I know this will only end badly for me

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but if it happens, JK already has had a better transfer career at LFC than BR did.

Is there any credence to the rumors that FSG are selling to an Asian private equity group?

We have made incredible progress financially under FSG. Forbes just put us at #6 on their "Super Six" world football clubs which includes a number of issues. They say that our value has jumped %42 in the last 12 months to just under 1 billion. I can't wait to see what happens with the new stand and imagine if we actually win something. Remember Tom Hicks?!

I still wouldn't mind a rich shiek or some Asian bazillionaire.

Entertaining match today - too bad we couldn't convert more of those chances.

Can will be out the next two PL games - that means he's got to go all out and play 90 for Dortmund.

Sakho had a pretty bad game - I think he sometimes plays bad when he's pressed so often.

Lovren played outstanding for 89:45. He just gave Kane way too much space on his right foot for the goal.

I don't think there is any debate anymore Studge either doesn't have a burst or isn't able to use it. He got a nice chance based upon a turnover, but otherwise against a high line we didn't get any kind of run in behind their line with him

I thought Migs had his best game in awhile.

Really, hard to be upset. Most of our guys played above their average.

I missed the match today because I moved this weekend and Comcast would rather rot in hell than make an appointment. Looks like it was an entertaining game, first one I've missed in about a year

Best game I have seen in a while, all things considered. Great defending, a couple of great goals (Kane's was incredible), and a deserved draw. Loris and Migs had great games.

I thought Coutinho was the MotM for me... Kyle Walker had to be happy to hear the final whistle...

Sakho had his worst game in a while... Moreno got beat a couple of times by not tracking the runs in behind... I was sure the goal was going to come from the left side... but ultimately, it was bad defending from Lovren that cost us... He otherwise had a pretty good match..

This kind of match was perfect for Hendo... I thought he was great helping to break up play..

Lallana was pretty good, as well.. I'm not sure about Studge, in regards to writing off his burst and stamina for good... I guess we'll find out..

In regards to our CBs, I'm now of the opinion that I'd probably get rid of all of them if there was an opportunity to sell... I know that isn't realistic, but I would... Toure and Skrtel obviously need to go.. I think Sakho, when on, is a monster and very good... but he is injured too often and always has a game like yesterday in him... Lovren, while improved is just average on a good day.. watched Schalke yesterday to see Matip... wasn't that impressed (not that he was horrible or anything), so I hope as a free transfer, he's brought in more for a squad spot... That said, I trust Klopp more than myself, so we'll see next season...

edit: I will add that I was very nervous at the end, when they had all those corners...

Gotta disagree. As much as I hated Lovren initially, he was massive yesterday outside of Kane's goal. Even then, it was a great turn and finish, but he definitely should've done better.

I mean we can't completely overhaul our CB's, that would just be too expensive. I'd keep Sakho and Lovren, get rid of Toure (with tears) and Skrtel and then it would be nice if we could bring in someone who would clearly walk in the first XI. Who that would be, I don't know, but we're at the point where we have depth, we just need more quality.

I don't want to completely write off Sturridge yet because he's obviously still not even close to fit. Would be great if he makes it through the season unscathed, he's used more as a sub in Euros and England gets put out early so he can get a little more rest and more preseason training to really get his fitness up and then see where he's at.

I don't wanna say he's intentionally not giving his all, but he definitely looks like he's apprehensive trying to sprint because he's mentally just not confident in his body and doesn't want to spend another month out injured. He definitely adds something extra in buildup, but it would've been nice to see more Origi yesterday to get behind their high line.

yeah, thats why I said its not realistic... what I meant was, none are beyond selling, bar Gomez.. IMO

It was a good goal from Kane, but Lovren over committed and allowed Kane to turn.. other than that he had a good game.. I still don't really rate him.. He def looks better on the right, than he ever did on the left... I have to imagine some of that is due to partnering Sakho and not Skrtel..

Id probable keep Sakho and Lovren, too.. bring in Matip and hopefully some one to partner Sakho.. Gomez can be the 5th CB and cover at FB..

I was actually hoping to see Caulker at some point this season, but that doesn't look like it will happen... oh well, looks like he'll be gone in a couple months anyway
