I thought we were, by far, the more likely to score all game. Outside of the three fluke goals they got (admittedly, our first was a bit lucky), they threatened very little whatsoever.

I just hope we come out with the same intensity against Utd on Sunday. I'll feel a lot better about this draw if we get the 3 points.

And then I just wish we could play this way against the shite sides. Consistency is our biggest issue. Well, aside from goalkeeping. And set pieces. And injuries.

Just finished the 1st half... what a humdinger!

I loved our energy and we played well in attack...

fricking Migs should have done better on both of those!

We still looked a little shaky defensively, but they are one of the in form attacks in the league...

I'm done with Benteke, Toure, Can, Moreno. Just about done with Clyne.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Can is young but provides a lot of strength in our mid. Clyne has been solid all year. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 'just about done with him'. Toure is exactly what we think he is. A good squad player when called upon

Agreed, I thought Clyne was exceptional today.

Fun game to watch, but something has to be done about defending set pieces and GK play. Really hoping firmino finds rhythm playing as our striker

I can't even watch when an opponent is setting up for a corner. I just assume it's going to be a goal.

Yep. Honestly it's to the point where the second we concede a corner I get the same punch to the gut feeling I get when we give up a goal.

It was an overall enjoyable game yesterday, and we deserved the three points.

I think we wasted too many chances - Firmino was excellent but should have had at least one more. Can wasted about four chances from the top of the box.

That being said - it came down to a few things -

Migs was poor. I'm stuggling to find something positive to say about his performance. Both of the first two goals could have been better.

Our CBs were not ideal - Sakho would not have normally played and you could tell he was still a step slow and not trusting his knee fuklly. Toure is fine, but is a step (or two) slower than ideal due to his age. The first goal we gave up was pretty much a direct refelction of those problems - Sakho not being quick on his feet and Toure not being fast enough to cover and Migs being poor.

I hate to pile it on - but we really do need better than Mignolet - and his new contract is worrisome to me. Of the "big XI", he is the worst keeper.

Thats pretty much it - I think we got 1 point instead of 4 due to some poor finishing, two out of step CBs, and a GK who makes you shake your head way too often.

Migs is shite. Ready to move on from him.

Done with Clyne? LOL. He's probably the best right back in the league.

How about that cross bar shot from Firmino? Great turn, excellent kick, just too high. Oh man, I would have completely lost my shite had that gone in!

How about his entire match performance?! Firmino was brilliant. I think its evident he needs to be our forward. Sadly, Teke needs to sent elsewhere. I hoped he would work, but he has only been decent as a late game sub, and at his price tag, its not worth it. Im totally fine with him being sold.

Here is a decent article talking about yesterdays tactics, and Firminos role.

Did we find ourselves the next Suarez/Sanchez?

Hope so. Let the young man flourish!

For as poor as he's been this season it's games like yesterday that show you he has the capabilities to be something really special for us. He oozes class and potential. I'd love to see him get some consistent time in a mobile front 3. He's going to come good, and when he does....

Hold on to your butts.

He (Firmino) definitely has "it" He has/does some of those same type things Suarez did that gives you high hopes.. I'm not saying he'll ever be that good..

He just showed it too much in the Bundesliga... I'm expecting him to run hot/cold this season, but hopefully, by next year... he'll have acclimated..

I'm not sure where the Can hate comes from, but I didn't think he was bad in that match at all..

He was indirectly responsible for our first goal...

I mean, this is his first year playing in the CM consistently, in the top flight of any major European league... He's not the finished article..

I do have reservations of him ever being a DM.. He is def B2B... and I have no clue of Klopp's long term plans for him..

He was pretty good yesterday.

Pool's problem right now is that they have a ton of stupid players and a number of squad players who are having to start. Keep Firmino, Can, Clyne, and (maybe) Sakho and replace/demote everybody else.

Can is asked to do too much. He should have been subbed off sooner for Allen. As the match wore on you could see his quality greatly diminish.

As far as quality 1st teamers, I feel comfortable with Hendo, Coutinho, Firmino, Clyne, Sakho, and Moreno.
