If he can grow up and give %100 percent for the club (on pitch, don't care about his silly stuff off), he definitely is the best value striker we've been linked too in regards to talent/cost/versatility...
Cavani is going nowhere with Ibrahimovic hurt, Falcao is likely to end up at RM... Both were probably pipe dreams anyway.. Lavezzi would be nice, but he's not really a CF..
Bony is probably the safest buy...
If BR and the club feel he's worth it, I'll support it... I like him as a person.. He could potentially become a WC striker worth £50mm+

Seems like the rumors for Falcao are only picking up the closer the end of the window comes with no Madrid interest.
Not to say I'm getting my hopes up and I'm still not even sure how I feel about what we'd have to pay to even get him on a year loan, but he would make me feel a lot better about our forwards even if he was at 80%

No, I'm not sure.. I just get the feeling they will make it happen in the 11th hour...

Yea I wouldn't be surprised to see them swoop in late , and may just be trying to get deals done for Khedira or Di Maria first. But I think we'll try for him if he's still there towards the end of the window

I think Brendao might line up like this. But I am afraid that might be too defensive. I know we are playing City and we need to pack the midfield. But if our wing backs have a bad game we might spend too much time in our own halves getting pinned down.

Apparently this will be the last season we wear Warrior kits, as they are closing their operations. Next year they will be New Balance. Hopefully this will mean a departure from the terrible branding and kit designs aimed at 12 year olds.

Can. I think he's always up for a physical battle.

That's what makes me nervous about the 3-5-2. What does Manquillo offer going forward? I can't speak for Moreno, because I don't know. But I do know that despite all the bad play, and mental blunders from Glen Johnson, he can at least bomb down the wing and race by defenders- at least when he's not turning the ball over in the final 1/3, or shooting the ball into the stands.

And now talks with Milan for Ballotelli have picked up per Tony Barrett

Will Balo be able to handle not playing every game or being removed for tactical reasons? If not - we don't need him.

If the rumors about Sturridge and Suarez butting heads were true, Mario will be much worse.
Posted on 8/20/14 at 5:14 pm to SwaggerCopter
There were never any rumors of that

I think he is somewhat sed to it at City and Milan (though he started a lot more at the latter)
More so than Falcao..
I'm just ready to have our squad complete..

My concern is will he defend from the front. He's a striker, of course he has an ego (so does Suarez and Sturrridge) but they both chase the ball and track back when needed which is pretty huge in Brendan's system, especially if he plays with 2 strikers.

If Sturridge would have left and Suarez would have stayed, Jamie would have said the opposite. It's just the way he is.

Sturridge doesn't press. It will be interesting what happens with Ball if he signs

AC Milan answer to Liverpool bid is clear: #Balotelli will not leave on loan. #LFC must offer money now to have Super Mario.
