What are they asking for him? I haven't seen a price.. I'd imagine ~ £20mm??
frick it, let's do the deal and be done with it!

Not like Suarez, but I've seen Ballotelli stand still and not even try to cut off a pass at times. No denying his skill offensively, but if he doesn't put in any kind of defensive work rate, then he won't play and won't be happy

Yep I think that's the number.
Also Falcao still a possibility although very unlikely since we are third choice.
Apparently it's Manchester City, Madrid, Liverpool I'm his mind in order of places he'd go. He'd be an expensive loan signing but assuming an option to buy it would probably be worth it
ETA would also watch to see what happens to Jovetic if City happen to nab Falcao

Considering that's what it would've cost for Bony (granted there's prolly a gap in wage demands) give me Mario all day

There aren't that many strikers that press like Suarez... Falcao doesn't... I get your concerns, because I have them too
Cavani is probably the other one that does..
Balotelli has all kinds of question marks, but his talent is undeniable... If we sign him, in a year we'll either all want him out or love him, but it'll probably be a helluva entertaining ride..

And he's still only 24. Worst case, we can probably still sell him for at least half of what we paid, probably more. Well worth the risk IMO

Jovetic is the one I want... So pissed when he went to MCFC last year..

Yea, would love that..
Would you rather Falcao on loan for one season for £20m or Balo on a permanent for £20m + wages over the next 4-5 seasons?

Both have their risks but I'd take Mario. Younger, able to get some return if necessary, and I think he'd help give our attack a little more with his creativity and able to drift out wide occasionally to help create space like Sturridge can. Falcao's a great number 9 but for the most part plays right through the middle

I'd probably go Balotelli... Ideally it would be a loan with an option to buy... Just to see how it goes..
I also wouldn't like taking Falcao on loan without being able to make it permanent, but could overlook that
But still, I think for the price/talent/versatility... He would be the better of the two... Taking into consideration Falcao has only played a couple of matches since returning...
I like Mario, I wanted him when he moved from Inter (yes, I have been envious of MCFCs ability to get top players for a few years now), but we haven't been in the place to get top players in a long time... I could definitely get excited about him if it gets done...

Falcao would be with a £40m option to buy..
I don't know which I'd rather. I think if we grab CL in consecutive seasons we could chase someone better than Mario but younger and less expensive than Falcao..

I agree, if we can qualify for CL again and still play great football, the doors will start opening up for better players...

THIS. We must qualify again. If we qualify again, the old Liverpool allure will return. There was a time that WE were the premier landing spot. We've been pipped by Arsenal and fricking Man City. We have to qualify again. We do that, we become a destination.

Would that be a record loan signing?
I would imagine with at least £15m to spare.

If Monaco does this, their experiment is over. They are backed by big money, but have a very small stadium and zero world wide fan base. If they are going to get rid of Falcao it is going to be a direct sale to Real.

Supposedly, it's a £12mm loan fee and the other £8 would be his wages...
