Thanks SCH, I just keep hearing from across the pond that, even with expansion, LFC can't keep up with the four clubs above them in terms of attracting true top talent. I was just wondering how FFP would affect that situation if any. It seems to me that we will financially be fifth and will just have to keep trying to punch above our weight class. Thanks again.

I think that has more to do with the state of the club, the past 4-5 years, compared to those 4... we haven't had UCL and flamed out the one season we have...
The bigger players, don't necessarily want a "project." So, it's going to be hard for us to sign a Di Maria or Sanchez without a sustained run in the top 4. We gotta hope to do it with younger players or stars from "lesser" leagues (we can typically pay more than those and hope the draw of the EPL can lure them).
We really missed the boat this season and we'll see in the next few years how far it set us back... hopefully, we can catch lightning in a bottle and keep it going..

The issue is a mixture of a few things. Eventually the club will need to start paying big wages again when the revenue starts coming in. People us the excuse players would rather live in London than Liverpool, which to an extent is true. But players go to Manchester which isn't much different from Liverpool.
Also its the manager, it looks like top players do not want to play for BR. He ran off at the mouth about LvG and United not getting players due to no champions league and look how that turned out. And now he is saying he will get top players without it even though he couldn't get any with Champions League soccer. You bring Rafa back or Klopp in you won't have these issues.

Ehhh.. If he does what I said, earlier in the thread, that will take care of itself... He just needs an established run of success and that would change. Thats the same of any manager..

I just thought y'all would want to know that I got a new haircut today. Went with the Hendocut
He's a good looking sonuvabitch right? Probably won't style it all greasy and Brit like he does though...

He's a little to elvin for my gay taste.
Plus he runs like a jackass. Better check yourself the next time you go jogging.

Wouldn't have to worry if SAF was around. Funky running style - He WNHI.

Brendan says we will be title challengers next year. Wish the dude would just keep his mouth shut sometimes.
Hoping for a more cohesive offensive showing today.
2 strikers please, Brendan.

Balo and Borini is actually kind of interesting.
The season is totally fricked, I hate that every experiment Rodgers does do is the ridiculous FIFA kind.
Who are we going to play on the wings today?
LETS THROW GERRARD OUT THERE HE CAN REALLY WHIP IT IN!

I wouldn't mind Balo and Borini for the simple reason that Borini works hard and moves a lot to space. I think they could do ok together. Or at least compliment each others strengths.
If you start them , then start lallana over Cou and use Cou as a sub. Cou isn't at his best when no forward can make a run behind the defense.

Seeing some Benteke and Moses Simon rumors float around recently as Liverpool targets.
Simon being dubbed "the Nigerian Cristiano Ronaldo"
An interesting comparison considering Simon is 5'6"

Unable to watch because I am at work... Following live commentary now. Outside of the fact that we are losing to fricking Hull, how have we looked?

Total dog shite.
Same ole garbage since the Man City game. Rodgers thinks he's safe, if he drops the next 2-3, his seat is going to get extra hot.
I don't take FSG for a team that is willing to phone in the rest of the season.

Absolute dog shite. Sterlings agent won't even be able to negotiate 100k anymore with this bs.

He literally cannot complete a 10 yard pass these days.
Sell him for 50M, he can frick right off playing the way he has the last 5.

All he's done is literally run straight at defenders and lose the ball EVERY TIME. Markovic coming on finally
Posted on 4/28/15 at 3:20 pm to SwampRocket
I'm sorry but Lambert playing on LFC is a fricking joke.
Posted on 4/28/15 at 3:21 pm to STLhog
And markovic comes on as a RB. Wtf

I'm trying to keep composure but games like this and west brom make me really sick and tired of Rogers. I think if we can get Klopp it's an easy decision at this point. If we can't then I'm not sure if we could do better than him
