Pulisic would be awesome.

But Woodburn scored 2 against Arsenal u23 today - I'm not sure there's enough hype room for them both.

Liverpool have made an £11m offer for Christian Pulisic, Borussia Dortmund's 17-year-old winger.

very conflicted about this... on one hand, my favorite team would have the American hope for the future on the international stage, but on the other, his development may suffer due to a lack of consistent opportunities to play....

it would be cool, as a fan of Liverpool, but as a USMNT supporter, i almost don't want it to happen... if he was a full or center back, i'd be all for it... but he plays at a position of strength for us, which would limit his exposure/development....

Like Dortmund, if Liverpool somehow got him they would likely loan him out for at least a year.

If (as is most likely) Dortmund keep him, they're probably going to loan him out this year anyway.

yeah... Moreno would have been roasted for that! Milner, well you get that with someone who isn't a LB... buy a fricking LB!

All in all, 4 points from two matches at The Emirates and WHL... the Burnley loss is the main sticking point...

I wasn't disappointed with our play, but we should have gotten the 3 pts there...

edit: I was thinking Sturridge on before Origi... Big Div wasn't very good today..

I'm still pissed off by the offside call.

Firmino should be forced to use nothing but his left foot in practice this week.

Yep. Just so Liverpool though. Not finishing chances to separate ourselves. Sloppy defending eventually leading to a goal to only get us 1 point.

We were very good for the most part though, just still need to clean up some parts of our game.

Again didn't care for Hendo. He and Firmino are turnover machines.

Still waiting for Can and Karius to get healthy too... That should hopefully shore up the defense a bit...

I have resigned myself to Matip and Lovren being first choice CB pairing... extremely worried about the left side with Lovren and Milner/Moreno..

I still think we don't quite know what are optimal attack paring is... though I assume it will be fluid all season and thats a nice luxury...

Mane gave it away a lot today, as well...

What'll it take for Grujic to get a start over Henderson?

In that deep role?

Henderson's not really fit for that role, but Grujic definitely isn't

probably proving it in training and or Hendo being hurt... I don't necessarily want someone with no PL experience, that isn't a DM, protecting our back 4..

I imagine Can will be in that role once healthy..

It's a crazy when you think 8 of the 11 outfield players are best/more comfortable in more attacking roles... It's kind of amazing we only conceded one..

I would very much like to see Can in front of Clyne, Matip, Sakho, Anyone and Loris. Besides the gaping hole on the left I think that might work. I am not giving up on Sakho. We looked pretty damn good today for a lot of the match and were incredibly unlucky on the offsides. Of course, we cannot finish a match to save our lives and it looks like a clean sheet in the Prem might be asking too much from this current defensive alignment.

Got to say - I'm pretty disappointed with 4 points from the three matches. Obviously the Burnley match is the worst of the three - but today was there for the taking and Spurs were bad in the first half.

Cou should have put that first one away. Probably another penalty should have been called in our favor with the corner pull down - but the ref was pretty equally terrible for both teams - how that guy is a PL ref I'll never know.

Mane's passing was horrible today. Milner is not a LB. Matip looked ok but more vulnerable in the air than I would have thought.

Hard to make too many judgements until we see our best 11 out there, but I just don't see how we make top four with how mentaly weak we are. Maybe we just need to keep a clean sheet for once and gain some confidence.

Surprisingly, the other teams with new coaches look a whole heck of a lot more confident than we do.
