American soccer historians say yes

I've kept up with soccer since 2009, so I have no clue.

what they have done is incredible and they ain't done yet. They will be one of the favorites to win WC 2014

Yes.
For the length of the run. There may have been other national teams as good at one tourney but three straight is too impressive.

I would say yes. I'm definitely too young to really argue it though.

Same here. I never watched Pele's Brazil team, so I can't be 100% sure.
But the stats point to Spain.

Like 90% of posters on this board, but they will act like they have a clue. Glad you will admit it.

Nay.
I don't really want to make too many claims about teams from before I started watching, but I would take the 2002 Brazilian World Cup team head to head.

I would agree with this.

Well, if we put it that way, only those who have been alive and following soccer since the 1800s can have a legitimate opinion.

Brazil have had some teams that would argue with it
Homer pick as well England 1966-1970 was a hell of a team and the Brazil vs England game at the 70 WC was probably the greatest game I've ever seen
Having said this its still tough to compare the earlier teams to todays, the advancement in training etc. is huge and just based on fitness todays teams would destroy them.
Best game maybe Brazil 02 vs Spains '12

They'll probably win the Confederations Cup as well, but their reign ends in WC '14!
