The majority of the FAs in this confederation are shitholes and/or insignificant GDP countries in the same loyalist Infantino bloc as Africa and Asia. Before UEFA’s statement if you held an anonymous vote on whether to approve or shoot down private investment, the majority of CONCACAF approves because of what they stood to gain. The only question is whether it’s slight or overwhelming
Mexico ironically has integrity by being honest. The rest of the confederation can frick itself. They aren’t fooling anyone

I mean in the short term, yeah, they would get some more money on the front end if they accepted Gianni's bribe.
But in the long run, the small nations would get absolutely fricked by this.

But as recently as 2 weeks ago, over 200 countries were on record formally endorsing his re-election, even after the Balogun scandal. And he’s never faced a competitive election. It’s little wonder he was so brazen
Until additional actions take place that no longer see Chad with the same voting power as France, it can’t be assumed he or any other dirtbag after is out of the game

It won't shock me if this is because of backlash from the private equity funders not the FAs.
A boycott is bad for commercial revenue and likely resulted in discussions over dropping the price rather than any noise he got from the FAs

How would you do that in a way that the world supports? The only way I can think of would be to start a competitor organization and supplant FIFA gradually, but that would take a century even if all the big economies, sponsors, and soccer nations got on board.

I just think smaller nations will do what they’ve always done and go on like nothing happens… it will be a tough sell for them to join a UEFA-backed organization where they get less say in everything.
