I call the Jermaine Jones role, holding but not really a holding mid responsible for reckless challenges and cavalier runs out of the midfield.

Just throw me in goal and forget your worries. I'll just blame the defense when we get scored on anyway.

Would you guys that are saying you would buy season tickets still do so if it was a team in USL/NASL? Just curious

Would depend on how invested the owners are.

Orlando City/San Antonio outward appearance in a decent stadium? Sure.

Typical minor league owners, in an unrenovated Tad Gormley? Probably not.

If you read the thread on SaintsReport, it seems like this guy has all his bases covered. Still doubt it ever happens, but the way this guys lays it out makes sense.

Does he address the hurdle of the residents of the area? It was a fight to get approval to build the stadium due to traffic and parking concerns. If I remember correctly, one of the selling points was the low number of events that would be taking place at the stadium. A full MLS season would really piss off some of the residents and cause a shite storm in City Council meetings.

I had season tickets for the PDL (now NPSL) team playing in Pan-Am before I decided to just buy them walking up. I would have them for USL/NASL.

The difference is, I could convince about 20 more people to get them for an MLS team. People want to watch top level sports.

No way is this going to happen. Not enough people to support the team and the Uptown residents don't want a MLS team playing in their backyard.

I'm an uptown resident and I would love an MLS team in my backyard.

Ditto. I would be there for every game.

I would be 5 minutes away.

But, from what we hear on the news, you would be in the minority.

The news never tried interviewing me.

Why don't they go to a soccer bar and ask soccer fans if they would come out? You know, do some actual journalism.
