I couldn't stand the wait so I didn't buy anything. I was not impressed. Atmosphere was great with 44K though.

The really sad part is that for Titans games and other events, it's an absolutely outstanding facility. Someone just massively dropped the ball on this one. I'm not excusing them because it was pitiful and pissed me off too. I just don't want people getting the wrong idea off of one bad incident. The Olympic qualifiers there a few years ago were fantastic (ya know, except for our on-field performance).

Moaning/complaining here, on twitter/facebook, does virtually NO good ! Someone local from Nashville should post the email of the EXECUTIVES responsible @ Nissan Stadium !
Unbelievably poor planning should have some kind of negative impact on those responsible !

Saving grace for Nashville and Tennessee is they continue to sell well so US Soccer won't pull the plug on them. You bet your arse US Soccer will address this with Titans officials about the shitty arse concessions situation. And congrats to Chattanooga for selling out the USWNT game in 24 hours.

It was an absolute shite show.
The concession stands that were open all had only one register open.
Exiting the stadium was a shite show as well. I think only two gates were open on each end, instead of throwing all of the gates open and getting people out. The path(s) to the pedestrian bridge were fricked up as well. They had fences blocking most of the access to the bridge and had a choke point with fencing that was basically a sidewalk wide if you wanted to get across the ped bridge. Thankfully, people were being patient - it could have gotten bad.
Oh - and they opened the east upper instead of the west - the sunny side of stadium, so people would roast and need drinks. A total cash grab shite show, that was borderline dangerous.
Without guarantees from stadium higher ups that that kind of bullshite won't happen again, Nashville doesn't deserve another game. If something bad would have happened (like a fire), lots of people would have died.

Sounds like they just put the minimum personnel for concessions and operations and opened the minimum allowable access according to fire code. Yeah, that would chap me the wrong way too.

Originally, I think expectations were around 20K, but they knew two weeks ago that it was going to end up somewhere around 40k. That's not a TON of time to prepare, but it should have been more ready than it was.

There were very few Guatemalan fans. The ticket windows didn't look strained, so I don't think the walk up was huge. They opened the upper deck for ticketing a couple of weeks ago.
Bottom line - they knew that there were going to be big numbers and they tried to go as cheap as possible on the labor.

Yeah it was a clusterfrick. I heard that when Nissan took over they ditched the LP Field staff and brought in new people. That likely didn't help matters.

There's probably some city management authority that runs the stadium. The Nissan/LP thing is just naming rights.

Management of the stadium did not change. The Titans simply signed a different sponsor. My dad sent me some info earlier.
Flynn also disputed gate issues saying that all but 3 gates were open, more than for CMAs which had a bigger crowd. My guess would be the parking limitations had people more clustered and trying to go out the same few gates.

I got an overpriced hot dog at one of the stands behind the AO section. Probably took me 15 minuets to get my order. I did see a few that were completely closed. Glad I was drunk going into the stadium.

Anyone who waited 45 minutes for concessions is pretty stupid. I get you are hungry/thirsty but at some point it's not worth it.
